As the DevOps Automation Engineer, the individual is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing automation solutions that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of the organization's infrastructure and applications. In this role, the DevOps Engineer will work with various automation tools and technologies, scripting, and collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline processes and support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Responsibilities
• Designs, develops, and implements automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and PowerCLI
• Creates and maintains scripts using Python, JavaScript, and other relevant languages
• Develops and manages infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions to ensure consistent and reproducible infrastructure deployments
• Implements and maintains CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes
• Integrates automated testing and deployment processes to ensure high-quality releases.
• Collaborates with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications
• Manages cloud and on-premises infrastructure using VMware technologies and other virtualization platforms
• Utilizes VMware vRealize Automation (vRA) and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO) to automate provisioning and management of virtual resources
• Leverages VMware Cloud Management and Automation (VCP-CMA) capabilities to enhance automation workflows
• Monitors the performance, availability, and security of automated systems and processes.
• Optimizes automation solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and enhance scalability
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to automation processes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Works closely with development, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions
• Provides technical support and guidance on automation tools and practices
• Conducts training sessions and create documentation to support the adoption of automation technologies
• Implements security best practices within automation solutions to protect infrastructure and applications
• Ensures compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards in all automation activities
• Stays updated with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and automation
• Identifies opportunities for improving existing processes and implementing enhancements
• Participates in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning
• Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Must have and maintain Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms, or automation technologies
• Extensive experience with automation tools and technologies, including Terraform, Ansible, and PowerCLI
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipeline implementation and management
• Experience with VMware technologies, including vSphere, vSAN, vRealize Automation (vRA), and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO)
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications/Education and Experience
• Knowledge of VMware Cloud Management and Automation (VCP-CMA)

Responsibilities
• Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex and inter-related project tasks
• Manages a multi-disciplinary team of technical and support staff for Government customers in the information technology domain
• Maintains and manages the client interface at the senior levels of the client organization
• Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. Ensures accurate, crisp, and clear communications are provided to the OSC team, including subcontractors, and our customers.
• Ensures conformance with program scope, budget, task schedules and performance
• Establishes clear roles, responsibilities, lines of authority, communications, and accountability among contractor staff in their interaction with their government counterparts
• Identifies staff development and training needs and ensure that training, and hands-on assistance is available to raise the talent/skill level of contract and client staff as appropriate
• Implements and provides guidance related to processes and policies, oversees the work of operational staff, and prioritizes projects and activities
• Directs and oversees an organization's planning function to promote organizational effectiveness
• Provides strong leadership, including mentoring staff to improve processes, procedures, and standards based on programmatic needs
• Supports and utilizes best practices in program and project management
• Oversight on special projects and activities
• Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office

Required Qualifications/Education And Experience
• Bachelor’s degree is required or equivalent experience (preferably in Information Technology, Information Management, or Cyber Security)
• Must have a PMP Certification
• Ten (10) or more years’ intensive and progressive experience working in IT or engineering industries
• Prior experience managing 12 or more IT professionals and financial success of the organizational unit
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, resources, customers, and managers with a focus on consistency and accuracy
• Prior experience as senior-level project manager with a demonstrated ability to lead
• Must have expert knowledge of a variety of computer software applications such including MS Project
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Strong ability to work with all levels of management
• Must have and maintain a Top Secret personnel clearance and must be eligible for a TSSCI
