Job Overview
The Senior Director, Principal & Major Gifts will play an integral role in securing and increasing philanthropic support for the mission and strategic priorities of PBS SoCal | KCET. As an experienced advancement professional, the Senior Director, Principal & Major Gifts will lead the major gifts team and will be responsible for growing the team in the next 2-3 years. The Senior Director, Principal & Major Gifts is a strategic and critical partner to the Chief Development Officer, and will work in partnership to build and grow the major gifts program. The Senior Director, Principal & Major Gifts will manage a portfolio of 110-125 prospects and current donors at various stages of the giving cycle, developing and strengthening relationship with prospects and donors. Frequent travel to various regions across Southern California is a requirement of this position. The Senior Director, Principal & Major Gifts is a dynamic and engaging fundraiser skilled at matching donors’ interests and passions to the needs of the organization, providing compelling and meaningful giving opportunities and helping donors fulfill their philanthropic goals in public media.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
• Lead the major giving team, providing strategic direction, guidance and supervision
• In conjunction with the CDO, create and implement a major giving program, including mid-level giving programs, principal gifts, legacy giving and endowment
• Actively participate in strategy sessions and help inform colleagues’ major gifts strategies
• Partner with advancement and organizational leadership to set departmental fundraising goals
• Cultivate and solicit prospects and manage a portfolio of 110-125 prospects
• In collaboration with department leadership, establish policies and procedures (i.e. contact reports, stewardship practices, gift agreements, etc.)
• Create and document donor contacts and correspondence (e.g. visits, calls, email and mailings, briefings, proposals, updates etc.) in constituent management system following established protocols and provide timely follow-up and debriefs after meetings
• Provide regular updates on prospect management, portfolio progress and fundraising results; utilize data to inform decision-making
• Participate in major donor events throughout Southern California
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with colleagues across the organization
Minimum Qualifications
• 10+ years working in a philanthropic capacity, preferably within a complex organization
• Experience working with board members
• Familiarity and experience with the greater Southern California philanthropic community degree, or relevant education or experience; a combination of education and experience will be considered
• 7 years of experience in donor cultivation, personal solicitation of major gifts, donor stewardship, portfolio management, and prospect and volunteer management
• Strong fundraising skills and experience with individual giving; campaign experience preferred
• Familiarity with standard office productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office and 365 programs and products), including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams
• Proficiency with constituent management and fundraising software; Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT experience (preferred)
• Demonstrated track record of successful major gift and blended gift solicitations, including gifts 5, 6, and 7 figures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with diverse individuals and groups at all organizational levels, both internal and external to the organization, including a demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively, both orally and in writing, about private gift fundraising
• Ability to cooperate, navigate challenges, think creatively and work collaboratively both within the major gift team and the larger Advancement team, as well as cross-functionally with other teams in the organization

Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Advancement Data Systems and Analytics will play an integral role in strengthening the Advancement Program’s infrastructure as it grows in the coming years. As an experienced professional, the Senior Manager, Advancement Data Systems and Analytics will have the opportunity to help establish, develop and manage Advancement’s donor database business rules, systems, standards and procedures. The Senior Manager, Advancement Data Systems and Analytics will also be responsible for data integrity and processing, report creation, data analysis and management, and reporting and system enhancements.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Senior Director, Advancement Services in creating and implementing Advancement’s donor data standards and business rules, policies, processes and reporting to support expanded fundraising efforts
• Partner with the Senior Director of Advancement Services to develop goals for department data priorities and continued improvement, and coordinate and manage projects.
• Assist as a liaison between Advancement and other departments to ensure communication is clear and to address information systems, integration and automation needs; and to select appropriate tools, technologies and solutions that optimize the team’s resources and efforts
• Serve as Advancement’s database subject matter expert and advise team as needed on day-to-day operations and work in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT (RENXT)
• Ensure and oversee maintenance of full and proper documentation of Advancement data systems and processes.
• Design and implement database queries and exports, reports, and analytics and dashboards to monitor progress toward fundraising goals and guide decision making.
• Participate in the development, implementation, maintenance and audit of a data management plan for data and resources/tools used by the department
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, or relevant education or experience (required)
• 5 years of experience in non-profit advancement operations, donor services, database design and development, and/or data management and analytics, preferably within a highly complex organization (required)
• 5 years of database experience, preferably with relational database, and large donor data or CRM systems
• Fluent with constituent management, fundraising, and prospect research software. RENXT, Financial Edge, iWave and RelSci experience a plus

Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Advancement Data Systems and Analytics will play an integral role in strengthening the Advancement Program’s infrastructure as it grows in the coming years. As an experienced professional, the Senior Manager, Advancement Data Systems and Analytics will have the opportunity to help establish, develop and manage Advancement’s donor database business rules, systems, standards and procedures. The Senior Manager, Advancement Data Systems and Analytics will also be responsible for data integrity and processing, report creation, data analysis and management, and reporting and system enhancements.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Senior Director, Advancement Services in creating and implementing Advancement’s donor data standards and business rules, policies, processes and reporting to support expanded fundraising efforts
• Partner with the Senior Director of Advancement Services to develop goals for department data priorities and continued improvement, and coordinate and manage projects.
• Assist as a liaison between Advancement and other departments to ensure communication is clear and to address information systems, integration and automation needs; and to select appropriate tools, technologies and solutions that optimize the team’s resources and efforts
• Serve as Advancement’s database subject matter expert and advise team as needed on day-to-day operations and work in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT (RENXT)
• Ensure and oversee maintenance of full and proper documentation of Advancement data systems and processes.
• Design and implement database queries and exports, reports, and analytics and dashboards to monitor progress toward fundraising goals and guide decision making.
• Participate in the development, implementation, maintenance and audit of a data management plan for data and resources/tools used by the department
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, or relevant education or experience (required)
• 5 years of experience in non-profit advancement operations, donor services, database design and development, and/or data management and analytics, preferably within a highly complex organization (required)
• 5 years of database experience, preferably with relational database, and large donor data or CRM systems
• Fluent with constituent management, fundraising, and prospect research software. RENXT, Financial Edge, iWave and RelSci experience a plus
• Proficient with standard office productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite and 365 programs and products), including: Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work with diverse individuals and
• groups at all organizational levels, both internal and external to the organization
• Skilled in developing and maintaining strong working relationships across the organization, and adept at fostering cross-functional collaboration and coordination
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to organize, analyze, interpret and synthesize data into easily digestible reports
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting complex data to various audiences in a manner that makes the findings clear, accessible and actionable
• Skilled in writing technical documentation clearly and concisely for both technical and non-technical audiences

Job Overview
The Gifts and Records Stewardship Manager will play an integral role in enhancing the Advancement Team’s efforts to
secure, increase and retain philanthropic support for the mission and priorities of PBS SoCal | KCET. This individual will manage gift entry and processing; the gift receipt and acknowledgement process; pledge tracking and reminders; and gift and pledge agreement administration. The Gifts and Records Stewardship Manager will also be responsible for the day-to-day management, accuracy and integrity of constituent data, including personal identifiable information, biographical, philanthropic, relationship, and engagement data.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Advancement colleagues, Membership Operations, Database Team, and Finance to process, enter, batch and document gifts, pledges and agreements in an accurate and timely manner
• Partner with Membership Operations and Senior Manager, Advancement Data Systems and Analytics to perform fundraising reconciliation reviews and generate reports, facilitate journal entries and gift adjustments; and update coding in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT (RENT) as appropriate
• Assist in the development, and implementation of a centralized receipt, acknowledgement, and pledge reminder process, and oversee its day-to-day administration
• Participate in the development of a workflow for moving gift agreements/statements of intent from templated drafts to executed documents through a rigorous approvals process. Manage the administration of the process, recommend workflow improvements and modifications, and/or software solutions
• Monitor, update and maintain accuracy and integrity of current records for board members, donors, prospects, foundations, and other Advancement constituents
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, or relevant combination of education and experience (required)
• Three years of experience in nonprofit advancement operations, donor services, fundraising, gift processing, gift administration, and/or donor relations, preferably within a highly complex organization (required)
• 3 years database experience, preferably with a large donor data or CRM system
