As an expert in the field of finance, you tackle complex reconciliations like a boss. You have a masterful knowledge of financial management principles for public and private sector clients. Unanet is your BFF and memories of perfectly balanced books gives you ultimate satisfaction. You are a fantastic teammate and an even better employee. Contract types such as FFP, T&M, and CPFF are second nature. Audits? Your audits are probably frame-worthy. You view continuing resolutions as a challenge, not as a wall. You’re bright, passionate, and driven. You can work well with others and work efficiently when accomplishing independent tasks.
The Fun Stuff:
This position reports directly to the CFO, and most, if not all, duties will be executed in collaboration. This is not a leadership/management role, but is extremely flexible and a great cultural environment for the right person. Responsibilities include:
• Prepare the month-end and year-end closing process.
• Prepare day-to-day and month-end close entries including revenue, payroll, prepaid expenses, unbilled accounts receivable, and accrued liabilities.
• Reconcile and balance accounts and various other general ledger accounts, as needed.
• Help external auditors and tax accountants with preparing schedules, providing explanations of supporting materials and procedures, and preparing additional data.
• Prepare of year-end 1099 submissions.
• Recommend, design, and implement financial controls and procedures.
• Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, fixed asset records, general accounting, cost and project accounting, etc
• Maintain financial records in support of the government contracting environment, and ensure compliance with FAR, and DCAA regulations
• Review and approve subcontractor and consultant invoices
• Ensure contractual requirements and customer financial deliverables are accurate and on time to include financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRLs)
• Plan for annual direct and indirect cost budgets
• Price for proposal efforts
• Monitor program funding and contract value to ensure funds are in place to continue business activities for the customer
• Engage in subcontractor management including, but not limited to, timesheet management, invoice processing and compiling funding documents
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the accounting operations within each assigned client.
The Necessities:
• You have a minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting IC or DoD programs
• You are comfortable with Unanet (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Office applications and responsive to email and phone inquiries.

• You are able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and prioritize work effectively
• You have excellent verbal and written communications.
• You are kind, friendly, and approachable.
• Nice to have: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a similar discipline.
