In addition to live TV, Philo.com also offers unlimited DVR storage and the ability to stream on multiple devices simultaneously. With a user-friendly interface and no long-term contracts, Philo.com provides a convenient and affordable way to watch your favorite shows and movies anytime, anywhere.
The company started in the college market as a laboratory for creating a next-generation TV platform.equityzen.comPhilo offers an entertainment-focused streaming service nationwide. Inspired by Philo T. Farnsworth, the inventor of electronic television, Philo was created to build a better TV experience.
Philo tops out at 30 frames per second. Philo’s features aren’t overwhelming, but they’re strong and include pretty much everything I was looking for. I could stream on up to three devices at once.cordcutting.comPhilo also includes the unlimited DVR feature that I mentioned earlier. Since this is an online (“cloud”) DVR, it doesn’t really “record” anything.
There are plenty of live TV streaming services, but with one exception, none of them are as cheap as Philo TV. Here’s a look at some of themandroidauthority.comThe Philo Android app can also be used as a remote control for the service on Chromecast, Android TV, and Philo TV devices. This support is being added to the iOS app in the future.

Product Ownership
Each team member owns what they build from start to finish. We ship to production multiple times per day and keep unnecessary process to a minimum so we can maintain our pace of rapid development.
Design and Build
The Product Design Team is responsible for designing, building, testing, and quite literally reinventing television, the most engaging product ever created, across web, mobile, and multiple TV platforms. Each member of our team works together on the entire product experience. It’s not uncommon to go from brainstorming backend considerations to polishing design details, from understanding how the video encoding pipeline affects performance to the different needs of different platforms. As a Product Designer, you will work throughout the development process, from developing new ideas to getting the details right. You will own the experience for a significant part of the Philo experience. We are a small, collaborative, and mighty team. We bounce ideas off each other, nerd out on the latest Figma update, and leave our egos at the door — we are looking for the next designer to level up our already very talented design team.
What You'll Do
• Design flows and screens that are simple and powerful ways to find, watch and share television
• Demonstrate product design concepts from shaping ambiguous ideas to shipping high-quality, well-crafted experiences
• Contribute to strategic decisions with the rest of the product team
• Iteratively designing and improving upon our video players, application UIs, and cross-device experiences.
• Prototyping, testing, and iterating upon new features
• Analyzing and incorporating cross-platform metrics to inform design decisions and identify opportunities
• Partner with marketing, support, and engineers to drive the user experience from conception until launch and continuing improvement
• Support and conduct usability testing to drive product insights and enhancements
What You'll Bring
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
• Ability to use prototyping to define interaction details and prove out design concepts, whether in code, design tools, or through other methods
• 4+ years or more experience in roles creating application design, visual design, and interaction design
• Experience with front-end development or ability to articulate how designs function through the lens of development tools
• Experience designing with and for diverse groups of people
• Designing for TV experiences a plus but not required

Data Science at Philo
Data underpins everything we do at Philo: making informed business decisions; analyzing and improving the quality of our streaming experience; running product experiments to optimize our signup flows; and making it easier for our users to find the perfect thing to watch. On the Data Science team, we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working on a variety of interesting engagement, content discoverability, experimentation, and retention-related problems across our streaming service. Some of the recent projects our Data Science team members have worked on include:
• Modeling to determine which early product behaviors predict conversion
• Running experiments to evaluate content personalization
• Building data models for analysis of lifecycle marketing communications
• Price sensitivity research and competitive market analyses

Senior Data Scientists at Philo contribute to mentorship and leadership on the Data team whether they are people managers or individual contributors. Individuals with prior experience with people management or an interest in people management will have the opportunity to add that responsibility to their role at Philo.

• Establish curated dashboards that will serve as the primary source by which we evaluate the performance of features
• Run queries to support ad-hoc product questions and create Mode dashboards and other visualizations for stakeholders
• Understand user flows, user behaviors, and long-term trends in our data to identify opportunities for new features
• Own your analytics projects, proactively identify issues and opportunities, test hypotheses, and propose solutions
• Collaborate with groups company-wide (e.g. business development, advertising operations, marketing, and support) on KPIs, including lifetime value, retention, win-back, and content consumption metrics
Key Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in a Data Science role
• Demonstrated ability to influence product roadmaps and business decisions with data
• Proven expertise in experimental design (including but not limited to A/B testing), principles of causal inference, and statistical techniques
