ABOUT THE POSITION:
Other Personal Services" (OPS) positions are used to describe positions that are part-time and temporary in nature. OPS jobs will normally be created for the accomplishment of short term peak workload, or periodic/intermittent tasks or projects for the college. OPS employees do not fill established positions, nor are they assigned the duties of any vacant authorized position. These positions will vary, based on the need of the institution and include office, clerical, administrative, and/or manual labor positions. An OPS temporary employee can work up to 1040 hours (in a 12 month period), unless the employee meets the criteria for extension referenced in Rule 60L-33.005, Florida Administrative Code, and normally are not longer than a six months employment period.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Job functions will vary depending on the work, project, task, department or other work criteria.
OPS Worker positions earn an hourly rate of $13.00 per hour.
Required Skills:
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills with special attention to detail.
• Ability to work well with others.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Other educational or skill sets may be required, based upon the needs of the department and the specific position.
Required Experience:

The Executive Director, Polk State College Foundation reports directly to the President and is primarily responsible for college-wide fundraising, development programming, and alumni relations.
Essential Functions/Duties:
• Serves as the Executive Director of the Polk State College Foundation, a direct support organization of the college and provides administrative leadership and executive direction to the Foundation and development staff.
• Works directly with Foundation Board of Directors to ensure that they are provided with the information and support necessary to effectuate successful Foundation operations. • Plans, organizes, and directs fund raising activities sufficient to meet the College's and Foundation's fund-raising goals. Directs and administers the overall strategic planning and activities to achieve outcomes in key areas including donor development, direct fundraising, and Board development. Provide leadership in the creation and execution of a development plan to support College initiatives.
• Represents the College and Foundation to the area's business communities, executives, and potential donors by promoting the understanding of and seeking support for college activities and programs. Speaks and networks at civic and community group meetings, chambers of commerce and economic development council to raise an awareness/understanding of PSC's mission and goals.
• Provides oversight for and keeps College President and Foundation Board apprised of income and expenditures of the Foundation and Development budgets and regularly reports as requested on the performance of the Foundation and development department.
• Directs the development and maintenance of funding resource files, including donor tracking, acknowledgement systems, alumni database, and donor prospects.
• Provides leadership for an alumni program that meets the needs of alumni and the College.
• Serves as liaison with faculty, staff, and administration in identifying funding priorities for the College and Foundation and coordinates activities in grant and fiscal resource development in a thorough and timely manner.
• Creates and recommends policies and procedures to the President and Foundation Board relating to Institutional Resource Development. Ensures policies and procedures meet/follow all federal and state guidelines.

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal relationship skills, with special attention to details is essential.

About The Position
Under the direction of the Director of Upward Bound Program, performs a variety of specialized duties related to the office operations of the Upward Bound program including budgetary and record-keeping functions, outreach, and communications.
This position is a regular, full-time, grant-funded, 12 month per year classified position. Must be able to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed including occasional overnight stays during academic year and scheduled residential summer program. Saturday Discovery sessions (as scheduled) will be required.
Essential Functions/Duties
• Prepares and processes operational documents related to budgeting, purchasing, personnel, payroll, contracts, and other administrative activities, including timekeeping records
• Assists in establishing program standards and goals and in the evaluation of program results.
• Assists supervisor in assuring that program activities and operations follow rules and regulations of program, including college mission, requirements of categorical or grant funding agency, or state or federal law that established program.
• Effectively utilizes computer software to create, edit, compile, and translate data into reports, summaries, and graphic formats
• Collects data, reconciles discrepancies, and prepares descriptive, statistical, and evaluative reports related to assigned program areas
• Assists in the coordination and production of student events, programs, training workshops, internships, mentorships, publications, special services, and/or other related functions
• Designs questionnaires, selects samples, and conducts surveys among community populations to assess needs, interests, relevant background information, and resources for special interest programs
• Participates in the interviewing and assessment of program participants
• Participates in the design and writing of bulletins, brochures, news releases, and other materials to publicize or provide information on college programs and services
• Monitors and verifies the accuracy of budget expenditures and time records and assists in the preparation of the annual budget of assigned program
• Classifies accounting transactions and maintains, reconciles, and closes accounts associated with program budget
• Assists in the selection, orientation, and training of program staff
• Assists in the maintenance of program participants' files and records
• Reviews and processes various forms, applications, and records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with basic program requirements
• Prepares letters, memoranda, bulletins, tables, and other material using a variety of software applications, and proofreads same.

About The Position
Under the direction of the Director of Upward Bound Program, performs a variety of specialized duties related to the office operations of the Upward Bound program including budgetary and record-keeping functions, outreach, and communications.
This position is a regular, full-time, grant-funded, 12 month per year classified position. Must be able to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed including occasional overnight stays during academic year and scheduled residential summer program. Saturday Discovery sessions (as scheduled) will be required.
Essential Functions/Duties
• Prepares and processes operational documents related to budgeting, purchasing, personnel, payroll, contracts, and other administrative activities, including timekeeping records
• Assists in establishing program standards and goals and in the evaluation of program results.
• Assists supervisor in assuring that program activities and operations follow rules and regulations of program, including college mission, requirements of categorical or grant funding agency, or state or federal law that established program.
• Effectively utilizes computer software to create, edit, compile, and translate data into reports, summaries, and graphic formats
• Collects data, reconciles discrepancies, and prepares descriptive, statistical, and evaluative reports related to assigned program areas
• Assists in the coordination and production of student events, programs, training workshops, internships, mentorships, publications, special services, and/or other related functions
• Designs questionnaires, selects samples, and conducts surveys among community populations to assess needs, interests, relevant background information, and resources for special interest programs
• Participates in the interviewing and assessment of program participants
• Participates in the design and writing of bulletins, brochures, news releases, and other materials to publicize or provide information on college programs and services
• Monitors and verifies the accuracy of budget expenditures and time records and assists in the preparation of the annual budget of assigned program
• Classifies accounting transactions and maintains, reconciles, and closes accounts associated with program budget
• Assists in the selection, orientation, and training of program staff
• Assists in the maintenance of program participants' files and records
• Reviews and processes various forms, applications, and records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with basic program requirements
• Prepares letters, memoranda, bulletins, tables, and other material using a variety of software applications, and proofreads same.
• Assures that clerical processes of the office are running smoothly and efficiently on a day-to-day basis, including supplies, photocopying, telephones, and emails.

Working Conditions

Three years of experience in support of training/educational programs is required.
Preferred Experience
Experience in higher education programs is preferred.
Experience working with high school students (grades 9-12), and low-income and potential first-generation college students, highly preferred.

The primary role of this position is to provide college-level instruction and instruction-related activities to encourage, support, and enable students' success. In this role, you will teach courses in video editing, lighting and cinematography, motion graphics, animation, audio editing, short films, and myriad topics in digital video production. Courses may be scheduled in morning, afternoon, or evening sessions and are primarily offered in a face-to-face format or online.
We are seeking a faculty member who will be an effective instructor willing to explore creative strategies to help students master critical content in digital media. The chosen candidate must be committed to course planning, instructional preparation, personal learning, and most importantly, student success.
Candidates for this role will have strong academic credentials along with hands-on expertise in digital media and excellent instructional skills. We are seeking someone who has strong skills in visual communication, video production, and media principles and is also able to use industry-standard tools to demonstrate these principles, step-by-step, from conception to a fully-realized, completed, professional product. In other words, someone who can explain the concepts well and demonstrate them through hands-on, professional projects.
The selected candidate will be patient, respectful, and able to communicate effectively to diverse students of varying economic and educational levels. He or she will care about students and be passionate about teaching effectively. The instructor will incorporate project-based learning as part of the instructional strategy and will actively infuse strategic assessments to inform pedagogical effectiveness.
Additionally, the instructor will welcome feedback in the classroom and embrace change if current instructional strategies are less than optimal. He or she will prepare relevant instructional content before classes, respond to emails promptly, and address student needs quickly and professionally.
If chosen, the instructor will work closely with the campus Academic Dean and the Department Coordinator or Program Director.
Adjuncts are paid at a rate of $37.38/hr.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course Information sheets.
- Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
- Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
- Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/or select course-related materials.
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
- Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.

• Knowledge of current versions of Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve and related tools
• Expert knowledge of video production, audio editing, video lighting, animation, and motion graphics
• Excellent screenwriting, storyboarding, storytelling, and pre-production skills
• Strong knowledge of DSLR and mirrorless camera systems and audio gear for video production
• Excellent grasp of video lighting design techniques, audio capture, and audio/video editing skills
• Well-versed in keying, compositing, troubleshooting skills for video and audio production.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people skills
• Mastery of current versions of Microsoft Office
• Expert user of Macintosh platforms
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
A minimum of a Master's degree in digital media, film, graphic arts. television, or other electronic media field; or Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in digital media, film, graphic arts, television, or other electronic media field.

We are seeking someone who has strong skills in visual communication, video production, and media principles and is also able to use industry-standard tools to demonstrate these principles, step-by-step, from conception to a fully-realized, completed, professional product. In other words, someone who can explain the concepts well and demonstrate them through hands-on, professional projects.
The selected candidate will be patient, respectful, and able to communicate effectively to diverse students of varying economic and educational levels. He or she will care about students and be passionate about teaching effectively. The instructor will incorporate project-based learning as part of the instructional strategy and will actively infuse strategic assessments to inform pedagogical effectiveness.
Additionally, the instructor will welcome feedback in the classroom and embrace change if current instructional strategies are less than optimal. He or she will prepare relevant instructional content before classes, respond to emails promptly, and address student needs quickly and professionally.
If chosen, the instructor will work closely with the campus Academic Dean and the Department Coordinator or Program Director.
Adjuncts are paid at a rate of $37.38/hr.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
- Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course Information sheets.
- Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
- Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
- Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/or select course-related materials.
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
- Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.

• Mastery of current versions of Adobe Creative Cloud software, specifically, Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, Premiere Rush, and Media Encoder
• Knowledge of current versions of Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve and related tools
• Expert knowledge of video production, audio editing, video lighting, animation, and motion graphics
• Excellent screenwriting, storyboarding, storytelling, and pre-production skills
• Strong knowledge of DSLR and mirrorless camera systems and audio gear for video production
• Excellent grasp of video lighting design techniques, audio capture, and audio/video editing skills
• Well-versed in keying, compositing, troubleshooting skills for video and audio production.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people skills
• Mastery of current versions of Microsoft Office
• Expert user of Macintosh platforms
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
A minimum of a Master's degree in digital media, film, graphic arts. television, or other electronic media field; or Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in digital media, film, graphic arts, television, or other electronic media field.

Required Skills:
• Demonstrated skills in student scheduling and other creative approaches to secondary education.
• Experience in high school and college scheduling.
• Experience in counseling at both the high school and college level.
• Experience in working with Tech-Prep and articulated programs of study.
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of the Florida education system and high school graduation requirements preferred.
• Knowledge of college admissions.
• Knowledge and experience in dual-enrollment and college scheduling.
• State of Florida Certification in Guidance required
Required Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling or related field.
Required Experience:
Four years experience in education or related field; or, an equivalent combination of training and experience.
