• You will prepare billing and accruals for moorage facilities and track detailed occupancy monthly. You will research and process credit adjustments and retrieve financial data from various sources to generate billing and verify accuracy of supporting documentation through various recipients, staff, and customers.
• You will perform reconciliation using technical, analytical, and system skills to ensure billing accuracy, completeness, and timeliness while coordinating with the Port's Accounting and Financial Reporting (AFR) staff to ensure smooth and accurate transfer of information.
• You will provide coherent analysis to support the Maritime Operations team's decision making. You will analyze financial data retrieved from the Port's financial systems to research customer inquiries.
• You will ensure the billing process is effectively designed with clearly defined steps to ensure maximum efficiency. You will create and implement efficiencies in the billing process using complex formulas, functions, macros, and pivot tables.
• You will support the Maritime Operations budgeting process, analyze budget variances, and support findings. You will develop historical revenue and expense reports to support annual budget forecasting.
• You will provide administrative support to the Maritime Operations team. You will be the team's SharePoint administrator.
• You will act as a Corporate Purchase Card (P-Card) user by reconciling monthly purchases, prepare and process purchase requisitions, payment requests, monitor expenditures, and resolve any discrepancies.

Who you are:
• Experienced - You have five (5) years of progressive work experience with invoicing, billing, Accounts Receivable, and troubleshooting (research and analysis), five (5) years of experience with productivity software, such as MS Office, two (2) years expert use of Microsoft Excel and two (2) years with SharePoint.
• Educated - You possess an Associate degree.

• Work Schedule - Your normal work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week). Slightly more flexible start and end times are available in this role.
• Work Environment -This work will generally take place in an office environment at Terminal 91. Hybrid remote may take place following the six (6) months probationary period at Management's discretion.
• Safety Requirements - You will be required to comply with all work rules, safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Grade Review - The pay range and grade for non-represented positions are under review and subject to change as part of the Port's work to implement a new pay program. This review is intended to ensure that positions are aligned with the new program that will be implemented in early 2024.

• Work Schedule – This is a seven day a week and twenty-four hour a day facility. Normal work schedule will vary. Must be able and willing to work all assigned shifts, including weekends and will be required to work during emergencies.
• Employee Parking – Part-Time/On-Call Bus Drivers do not have a regular schedule but may have an average of 20-hours a week minimum and may be assigned up to 40-hours on any biweekly schedule. The biweekly schedule is posted in advance to ensure drivers have sufficient notice of work schedule.

• You will conduct routine compilation and evaluation of utility data to compute Aviation and Maritime emission inventories, provide data for mandatory reporting to agencies such as the Washington State Department of Ecology, and to support the Puget Sound Maritime Air Emissions Inventory and data to support the Port’s Energy Management System.
• You will participate in and contribute to the development and monitoring of the budget for assigned projects and programs.
• You will coordinate contract management with the Central Procurement Office by providing information needed for contracts, contract amendments, and service directives; review and approve contractor invoices.
• You will develop educational materials and conduct presentations on general environmental issues and program requirements to Port employees, tenants, or the public.

Who you are:

Two years of experience may be substituted for one year of education:
• Experienced – You have two (2) years of experience in data management and analysis, data visualization, statistics and/or environmental sustainability work.
• Educated – You possess a Bachelors degree.
• Desired – We hope you have certifications in mathematics, statistics, computer science or data analysis or related fields. We also hope you have experience inventorying or analyzing carbon and other air emissions as well as energy-related, water conservation, and/or other sustainability data.
