The Opportunity :

The Sales Development Representative is tasked with identifying and generating sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound calling activities.

The right candidate will be one who works well under pressure, thinks out of the box, easily initiates relaxed but informative two-way phone conversations with prospects, and is highly self-motivated.

The right candidate will also understand how to assess a company’s needs and cater the outreach to each prospect specifically.

What you'll do :
• Follow up on inbound marketing leads and identify qualified opportunities providing appropriate levels of information at the right time for interested prospects.
• Be responsible for educating and developing prospects leading to hand-off to sales teams.
• Cold call into prospects generated by a variety of outside sources.
• Identify key players, research and obtain business requirements, and present solutions to begin the sales cycle.
• Profile strategic accounts identifying key individuals, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to start the sales cycle.
• Set appointments for our Postmedia account executive team when a lead reaches a qualified stage.
• Nurture new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with an Account Executive.
• Drive attendance for webinars and live seminars.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on a strategic sales approach.
• Ensure successful follow-through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application.
• Identify and qualify new sales opportunities for our Account Executives.
• Learn how Postmedia works from the ground up and build the foundation for your career at Postmedia.
• Work with your Account Executives to identify ongoing strategic targets.
• Demonstrate the value of our offering through phone calls, email, LinkedIn and other social mediums.
• Research your target companies and prepare executive summaries to turn your Account Executive into a guru ahead of their calls.
• Diligently update Hubspot, our CRM, to stay current on leads and follow-ups.
• Shadow your Account Executives in meetings and other activities to help you acquire the skills you’ll need for your next role on the Postmedia sales team.

Who you are :
• You possess persistence and resilience : The role of an SDR can be challenging, and rejection is common. SDRs should be able to handle rejection and continue to reach out to potential clients.
• Experience reaching or exceeding weekly / monthly goals / quotas.
• Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow and excel in their role.
• Excellent phone, writing and listening skills.
• Experience using CRM software to track Sales activity.
• At least 1 year of professional experience.
• Fearless & experienced cold caller.
• Bilingualism in English and French would be an asset.

As our projects continue to grow in scope and number, we need a skilled professional who can take raw footage from our videographer and transform it into polished, engaging, and visually striking multimedia content. This includes color correcting raw footage, polishing photos so they are ad-ready, pacing footage to music, etc.

This person is also responsible for taking a concept or storyboard and generating high-quality animated content using stock resources, product renders, and plugins. These projects will be used primarily for social and TV content and will vary in length and theme. The brands we work with are artistically very diverse so the ideal candidate can flex in a variety of design genres.

Responsibilities
• Edit video and photo content to produce compelling reels, clean product shots, and dynamic brand visual aesthetics.

• Implement motion graphics, visual effects, and other enhancements using After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent software to add depth and dimension to our content.
