EXEMPT
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating and executing campaigns across social channels to amplify the Ministry’s voice and message. This role owns the strategy, content creation, and execution for social media for the Precept and Yarrow brands. This role speaks into paid digital campaigns. This role works in collaboration with a creative team to bring campaigns to life. This role will play a role in the strategy, creation, and execution of all aspects of the department’s social media marketing strategy.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maintains a current understanding of best practices for social media marketing.
Analyzes performance metrics, providing recommendations to improve effectiveness of social campaigns.
Helps develop metric-based strategies to meet department and ministry goals.
Creates original high-quality content that builds meaningful connections to our audiences.
Regularly publishes across multiple social media platforms according to defined schedules using a social media tool.
Implements an editorial calendar to manage social media and digital marketing content and plans specific, timely marketing campaigns.
Builds and executes social media strategies through competitive audience research and industry best practices.
Monitors social media channels and responds to comments and questions quickly and appropriately
Sets up and optimizes company pages within each platform to increase visibility of company social content.
Continuously improves by capturing and analyzing appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and acts on the information.
Generates regular reports on campaign performance.
Ensures marketing messaging is conveyed clearly and delivered properly to constituents.
Ensures internal and external messages follow relevant industry policies and best practices.
Works closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, Senior Content Marketing Manager, and other departments to ensure campaign targets and timelines are achieved.
Creates a positive team atmosphere and facilitates teamwork beyond the scope of own functional area.
Actively participates in staff activities, including daily prayer, weekly Bible study, and in-person staff gatherings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong understanding of social media marketing and analytics
Strong understanding of Hootsuite desired.
Expert understanding of social media platforms including but not limited to: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Strengthens donor commitment by establishing a personal relationship between the donor and Precept through telephone contact and written communication.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Builds relationships with donors and promotes ministry vision. Actively develops creative and new means of relationship building for the purpose of increased ministry engagement from donors.
• Manages donor caseload in a planned, consistent, timely manner.
• Contacts, thanks, updates, surveys, and sends follow-up mail to assigned donors as a means of personal contact to Precept. The caseload will primarily include donors who fall between the $500 - $2,999 yearly gift amounts, including:
• New and renewed donors
• Current donors (RDA assigned accounts)
• Lapsed donors
• House accounts (variable gift amounts)
• Possesses the ability to make fundraising asks and present opportunities for donors to partner at a higher level.
• Develops a praying relationship with assigned donors based on the authority of God’s Word.
• Informs donors of current news and prayers needs from the field. Serves donors by being transparent and accountable to them in the stewardship of finances and Ministry results.
• Possesses the ability to adapt communication styles and relate to different expressions of the Christian community.
• Collaborates with Customer Service as needed to ensure simple and cohesive interaction between the ministry and donors. Develops effective working relationships with donors, volunteers, foundation representatives and others to nurture their connections to the organization.
• Diligently tracks donor giving via daily reports and responds appropriately. Uses CRM platform to collect, record and report data obtained from phone calls and donor contact in a timely and efficient manner.
• Answers incoming calls for information as needed.
• Fosters a work environment of mutual trust and teamwork.
• Possesses knowledge of social media and outgoing mailings.
• Attends and promotes special donor events.
• Arrives in a timely fashion to be ready and prepared to begin work at the scheduled time, including breaks and meal periods.
