• *The Role**

Proofpoint is looking for a high performing Sales professional to join their Named Account team selling to Enterprise account i.e. 2,500 mailboxes to approx. 5,000 mailboxes and manage up to 35 mid-market named accounts with a mix of white space and existing customers, work with our partner community to gain access to white space accounts while upselling and cross selling existing customers.

Sell the full Proofpoint Platform while working closely with internal and external ecosystem partners. In this role you will be able to expand the Proofpoint footprint as well as market leadership while assisting in protecting our customers from advanced threats and targeted attacks. The Named Account Manager-Midmarket role reports to the Named Account Sales Director. This role is in a New York based territory.

+ Clearly develop and execute path to plan with focus on Forecast accuracy and SFDC hygiene

We are looking for a Director of Accounting Operations to join our fast-paced, high performing team in Sunnyvale, CA. This individual will be an integral part of the Finance team in many areas. The Director, Accounting Operations’ primary responsibilities will be to design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency within existing SOP’s. This person will ensure the integration of data produced into systems and responsible for the timely completion of our worldwide close process and the accuracy of our global financial statements under US GAAP. This person will lead, supervise, and develop personal to ensure the efficient operation of the accounting functions including General ledger, AR & Collection, AP & expense management, inventory, and fixed assets.

Your day-to-day
• Responsible to ensure the timeliness, consistency and accuracy of the month end close process and compliance to US GAAP and Internal audit standard. Prepare and manage the close schedule accounting to internal and external reporting deadlines
• Identify, research, and resolve accounting issues timely; provide US GAAP accounting guidance and support to teams, collaborating with the cross functional team and others for team projects
• Support and develop accounting policies and procedures, identifying new or changes to controls and process improvements. Responsible for compliance of internal controls under SOX in areas of responsibility
• Manage review of Balance Sheet/Profit and Loss Statement Monthly/Quarterly flux analysis with GL team
• Support technical Accounting and Reporting team with preparation/review of schedules along with other analysis as needed
• Drive project initiatives for new or enhancements for development and implementation of finance systems, applications, and controls to achieve continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group
• Direct, monitor team deliverables and the documentation of accounting procedures to ensure implementation of requisite process changes are updated timely
• Participate in setting up global standardization efforts of worldwide policies and procedures and account reconciliations
• Review, develop, and maintain SOX controls as the business process, system, and policy changes. Coordinate and ensures ongoing compliance with SOX
• Proactively plan, strategize, coordinate, review, recommend and execute process improvements to enhance month end and quarter end close efficiencies
• Work with Finance M&A team on accounting & finance integration including training, analyzing opening balance sheet and reconciliations to team with their areas of responsibility
• Manage team deliverables to support financial and other compliance audit requests with auditors, legal counsel, and other applicable third parties
• Mentors, coaches, and develops the team through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, communication of policies and procedures, and constructive discipline; builds morale and motivation. Monitor the team’s performance and utilization to ensure direct report(s) meet individual tasks, deadlines and perform to established standards. Establish redundancy plan to lower risk and avoid business interruptions
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

What You Bring To The Team
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Licensed active CPA
• Minimum of 10 years of general accounting and finance experience with minimum of 5 years as a manager in an accounting function
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, ability to work independently and collaborate to meet deadlines

Business Email Compromise (BEC) is rife – business are losing Billions. Utilizing the power of email authentication, Sender Security & Authentication protects organizations from all phishing attacks that spoof trusted domains.

Collaborating with our Enterprise Account Teams across the Southeast US, you will operate in an overlay capacity and be responsible for identifying, qualifying and driving Sender Security & Authentication opportunities within their Accounts. As a Sales Specialist within Advanced Technology Group, your core task will be building trusted relations and driving revenue within our largest Enterprise customers. There will also be a focus on Evangelizing and presenting the Sender Security & Authentication solution at events and roundtables.

This role will demand interaction with large scale enterprises at the CIO, CSO and CISO level, as well as with technical staff within the security and IT organization. Your day-to-day
• Actively engage with prospective new customers via phone, web conference and in-person as a subject matter expert for our SaaS / Email Fraud Protection platform.
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver in-person and web-based solution overviews and product demos.
• Work closely with the Proofpoint Named and Major Account teams to identify and qualify strategic sales prospects.
• Alongside the Account Manager, help drive the sales process including opportunity identification, introductory meetings, product demonstration, customer Q&A, as well as negotiation and closing
• Team up with our rapidly expanding channel partner network to drive both net-new and incremental revenue.
• Interact with the management team in 1-1, team meetings and via forecasting and reporting to provide critical updates, and strategic account planning
• Blow your quota out of the water!
• Regular business travel -covers TOLA, Southeast, and some LATAM

What You Bring To The Team
• Proven and demonstrable track record of exceeding revenue targets
• Experience successfully selling complex Cybersecurity solutions to Enterprise and Fortune 1000 customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint’s value
• Advanced solution selling capabilities, adept at conducting sales presentations, coordinating multiple resources within an account, while consistently and successfully closing business.
• Must be organized, detail and process oriented
• Highly credible and able to influence and build relationships at the executive level
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues
• Skilled collaborator and someone who can coordinate resources to execute complex sales plays.
• Exposure to DMARC authentication (SPK & DKIM) desirable, but not mandatory.
• Experience of using Salesforce (or equivalent)

• Proofpoint is looking for a high performing Sales professional to join their Named Account team selling to Enterprise account i.e. 5,000 mailboxes to approx. 35,000 mailboxes.

Role Overview

Manage about 20 named accounts with a mix of white space and existing customers, work with our partner community to gain access to white space accounts while upselling and cross selling existing customers.

Develop account plans for each of your named accounts, identify add on opportunities for incumbent book of business. Become a subject matter expert on the value the Proofpoint platform delivers and how we stack against the competition.

• Strong presentation skills and technical understanding of cyber security
• High sales activity i.e. 6-10 customer and partner meetings per week, 6 hours of dedicated prospecting hours per week. Ability to both prospect and close business

The Director of Managed Services for our Security Awareness platform will be a key leader in Proofpoint’s Managed Services team, leading an organization of more than 40 staff in growing and delivering one of our key managed services to customers. This position will be a key agent for driving the maturity of Cybersecurity Services offered to our customers.

What You’ll Need
• 12+ years' experience in business, technical and/or services management
• 5+ years' senior leadership experience in management function spanning multiple company-wide technology programs and including P&L responsibility
• Significant client-facing experience and excellent communication skills
• Experience developing processes and procedures to drive services management maturity
• Experience developing and managing departmental budgets and product pricing as well as demonstrated strong financial acumen
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• A foundation in consulting is a strong plus
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Education

A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in a related discipline preferred or relevant work experience is required; an MBA is preferred.
