The Role
The Operations Analytics Manager will use data analytics to identify opportunities and execute changes throughout operations driving innovation and optimization. You will be responsible for developing and deploying data driven strategies and insights for Operations. You will identify KPIs, develop reporting/forecasting/models across Operating functions like sales, service, collections, etc. ensuring we are measuring the right metrics and driving the right business decisions. In this role, you will partner with business owners to pursue analytical opportunities and uncover insights to inform change. You will serve a leader on amongst the team partnering with the Business Operations, Risk, Legal, Marketing and Engineering to streamline processes and deliver against projects.
Problems You Will Solve
• Independently identify opportunities to drive efficiency in operational processes and be comfortable creating proposals on how to address the opportunities identified
• Design and execute tests having clear success metrics, be able to provide synthesized analysis of the results and manage solutions into production
• Work cross functionally to shepherd projects from ideation into production working across Legal, Risk, Ops Teams, Product, Engineering to ensure efficiencies are realized
• Develop and maintain procedures for tracking data sources, data lineage, data quality, completeness, redundancy vs replication, data dictionary, data models, metadata and master data
• Lead Projects that enhance our customer experience and financial performance
• Drive improvements across Prosper data ecosystems, leverage our new cloud-based data stores (Google Cloud Platform) and partner closely with Business Intelligence groups to migrate/maintain standardized data sources leveraged across all of Operations
About You
• Experience with analyzing data and deploying strategies within collections (preferred)
• Familiarity with analytical techniques, including trend analysis, forecasting, and experiment design
• Ability to work autonomously and make critical decisions independently. Proven communication and collaboration skills; willingness to take the initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities
• Continuously develop and demonstrate improved analysis methodologies
• 5+ years of operations analytics experience at a financial services or technology company
• Strong proficiency and hands-on experience with Data Analysis with an emphasis in building data pipelines
• Experience with Github and Bitbucket or similar source control mechanisms/tools (preferred)
• Ability to write/guide others writing complex SQL to perform common types of data extraction and manipulation
• A passion for solving complex problems in operations and an ability to create and execute test plans in a complex / dynamic environment
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Highly-attentive to detail, extremely thorough and accurate
• Ability to lead highly collaborative, cross functional initiatives and work independently, highly-adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively and stay connected with remote teams
• Familiarity with analytical techniques, including trend analysis, forecasting, and experiment design
• Familiarity with Google Cloud tools suite including Big Query, DBT, BQML etc. (preferred)
• STEM degree preferred- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, etc.

About You

The Role
The Operations Analytics Manager will use data analytics to identify opportunities and execute changes throughout operations driving innovation and optimization. You will be responsible for developing and deploying data driven strategies and insights for Operations. You will identify KPIs, develop reporting/forecasting/models across Operating functions like sales, service, collections, etc. ensuring we are measuring the right metrics and driving the right business decisions. • Strong communication skills – ability to communicate technical subject matter clearly and succinctly to other team members and Senior Management team

You will play a critical role in the Operations Program Management team. Problems you will solve
• Prepare accounting entries and account reconciliations for various financial activities including: borrower and investor payables/receivables, revenue/contra-revenue, securitization accounting, loan servicing, and debt sale. See identified discrepancies and issues through to resolution.

• Prepare accounting entries and account reconciliations for various financial activities including: borrower and investor payables/receivables, revenue/contra-revenue, securitization accounting, loan servicing, and debt sale. See identified discrepancies and issues through to resolution.
• Review journal entries and other work performed by the loan accounting staff and ensure that the work completed is in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly financial statement fluctuation analyses for management reporting.

The Operations team is seeking a Decision Engine Manager to deliver and implement coding and testing solutions in our decision engines. This new team member will be responsible for the design, testing, and implementation of business rules for all Prospers products. Our manager will need to understand both decision trees and coding logic, as well as imagine boundary cases to verify that all scenarios are considered.
