Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Makes key contributions to the themes, ideas and methods used in creating and producing small to medium-scope initiatives that utilize print and digital , including ads, brochures, newsletters, fliers, direct mail, displays, presentations, posters, statements, financial reports, invitations, announcements and website graphics.
• Designs and renders original art and design work for illustrating specific data in reports and publications.
• Under limited supervision, consults with internal customers regarding design, media and associated costs.
• Designs, and prepares graphics used in publications, presentations, studies and reports including charts, graphs, designs, colored renderings, and related applications.
• Makes key contributions to graphics production activities, including printing and is accountable for quality assurance.
• With creative direction, researches and selects graphic design ideas (which may include photos, videos and illustrations).
• Ensures that the graphics file management system is maintained.
• 2 years’ experience with standard printing and production requirements, processes, and procedures.
• Remains current in graphic design trends and technologies.
• Ability to quickly determine priorities in a self-directed work environment so that both creative and operational responsibilities are met.
• Manages deadlines through communication
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Our agency is actively recruiting for a full-time, permanent Community Corrections Officer 2 (CCO2) vacancy within the Community Corrections Division. This position works for the Raymond Field Office located at 515 5th Street, Raymond, WA 98577.

The CCO2 has an in-training plan attached. Depending on your qualifications, you maybe appointed at the CCO1 level or directly at the CCO2 level.

Reintegration Reimagined: DOC Launches New Community Corrections Model
iCoach (individualized, community-oriented, accountability, collaborative help) is backed by the most recent science and is driven by two philosophies: Community Reintegration and Enhanced Supervision. iCoach provides more support and advocacy for those within the criminal justice system earlier in their reentry process.Supervise criminal S/Is (supervised individuals) ordered to supervision in the community in accordance with Washington State law, Interstate Compact Rules/Regulations, and agency policy and within prescribed timeframes.
• Conduct investigations, searches, issue warrants, and make arrests.
• Complete intake.
• Administer assessments (risk, needs, substance abuse).
• Manage electronic and hardcopy files and reports.
Engage with S/Is to work towards positive change by using communication strategies.
• Motivational Interviewing to enhance the S/I’s intrinsic motivation to change.
• Principles of Effective Interventions to interact with S/Is and to manage behavior.
Enforce supervision conditions and the law.
• Present accurate written documentation and oral testimony and make appropriate sanction recommendations for courts and/or hearings.
• Identify, collect, document, process, and maintain evidence and information, ensuring proper chain of custody and storage.

• One year of professional case management** experience in adult or juvenile corrections or closely related field which includes at least three of the following:
• Making field visits.
• Writing reports.
• Assessing cases and making recommendations.
• Referring people to appropriate resources.
• Presenting cases in court or hearings.
• Able to carry and properly utilize a department-issued firearm.
• Must possess and maintain an unrestricted vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Washington.
OR
• A Master's degree from an accredited institution in sociology, social work, psychology, criminology, or closely related field. (This requirement substitutes for the required professional case management experience listed above.)

• *Professional case management includes activities such as: assessment of risk factors; designing, monitoring and/or facilitating treatment plans; determining and making referrals to resources as appropriate (chemical dependency, substance abuse, family counseling, job training assistance, etc.); maintaining official records and tracking client progress/compliance; and assisting S/Is who are unable to independently access support systems or community resources such as those providing food, clothing, or monetary assistance and shelter.

COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS OFFICER 1 LEVEL - REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A Bachelor’s degree from a college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the US Department of Education or foreign equivalent.
• Able to carry and properly utilize a department-issued firearm.

Note: The CCO2 position has an in-training plan attached. • Maintaining qualifications per department training standards with department-issued firearms and with Intermediate Force options (e.g., OC ‘pepper’ spray or electronic immobilization devices).
• Maintaining CIT qualifications.
• Completing all agency requalification training and an annual criminal history clearance to remain armed.

Primary Purpose:

Apprentice Signal Trainees will be trained to perform the duties of Signal Workers. Signal Workers are an important link between ensuring compliance to FRA regulations and customer satisfaction while achieving the safest most efficient railroad operations.

Principal Duties:
• Signal Workers are primarily responsible for performing FRA regulatory test and inspection of the signals systems.

• Use of a wide variety of hand tools, on track high-rail equipment, and test instruments
• Perform construction duties, including digging holes and trenches to lay cables, wiring apparatus, setting foundations, installing equipment, etc.

Apprentice Signal Trainee Training Program
• Successful applicants will participate in a 52-week paid apprenticeship training program that includes in-class theory and lab work with hands-on skill development in the field.

Week 4-16: OJT Signal Construction Gang

Week 11-19: Signal Training-2 (McDonough, GA)

Weeks 20-40: OJT Signal Maintenance Training

• The in-class portion of the training program consists of three sessions that are three weeks long each. These sessions are in McDonough, GA and are mandatory.
• Apprentices will be required to pass a series of periodic tests relating to duties, responsibilities, and operating rules. In the circumstance that an apprentice fails any of the periodic testing, their application for employment may be rejected at that time.
