This is an exciting leadership opportunity to lead the Reserve Bank’s IT Portfolio's delivery area, oversee the direction of Portfolio, project and product delivery practices, capability, quality and assurance processes that support and enable this practice; while leading and developing individuals to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes.

To achieve this you will:
• Establish and lead a new PM Practice that supports and drives continuous improvement in portfolio planning, assurance, performance, risk, interdependencies and capacity management, whilst playing a key role in the transition to Agile, landing change safely, guiding value-based portfolios, and maturing the Project Management capability maturity with the Portfolio Managers.
• Lead, guide and develop team of portfolio analysts and project co-ordinators to provide effective management insights and advice..
• Ensure operational accountability and effectiveness in regards to the... Project and Product Management methodology, standards, processes, tools, capability and automation uplift, with an aim to drive consistent practices.

Your background:

To be successful in the role you will have expert understanding of server operating systems, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Server along with understanding of Microsoft Active Directory. You’ll also have exceptional experience providing technical leadership in the design, security hardening and support of server operating systems as well as Active Directory along with good understanding of virtualisation technologies, in particular VMWare. ITIL certified with a solid grasp of incident, problem, change and capacity management.

You will bring exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience in writing standards and procedures, support documentation and technically detailed design documentation. Technical operational experience, with previous people management is paramount for this role coupled with consistent track record in coaching, mentoring and developing people.

Degree qualifications in IT or relevant field plus IT accreditations (such as Microsoft, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware) maintained to current levels; or working towards within 6-12 months.
