Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Financial Services, either primary insurance or reinsurance area OR

• Knowledge in organizational design and development
• Experience leading organizational change
• Broad-based knowledge of insurance industry including knowledge of insurance business processes and processing

• Provide recommendations for Firm Order Terms (FOT), participation allocations and reinsurance structure based on technical and strategic analysis of the reinsurance marketplace with considerations for pricing, diversification of credit risk and long-term reinsurance purchase strategy
• Monitor reinsurance contracts ensuring clarity and accuracy of agreed-upon terms, monthly monitoring of key indicators such reinsurance collateral across, reinsurance concentration levels, etc.
• Assist with reinsurance underwriting audits in conjunction with treaty renewals
• Assist with preparation of materials for various governance committees and reinsurance review meetings
• Assist with Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Audit function, including SOX efforts as needed
• Assistance with special projects and other assigned duties
• Assist with preparation of schedule F for yellow book
• Recommend changes to procedures to improve operations within the office.
Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 5+ years of insurance industry experience required
• Reinsurance experience preferred
• Experience in a decision-making role
• Ability to present information to senior executives of the organization
• Strong communication skills in writing and oral
• Familiarity and ability to use Microsoft Office products especially PowerPoint and Excel

Accountabilities:
• Assist with stakeholder management, strategy setting, guideline maintenance, process and procedure documentation
• Build strong relationship with external and internal partners and work with these groups to effectively manage treaty renewal process and address any operational issues
• Participate in the marketing and placement of treaty insurance for all business units
• Work with brokers, underwriters, and actuarial department to identify and gather information necessary for reinsurance treaty submission packages that represent underwriting strategy and coverage needs
• Provide comprehensive analysis for reinsurance purchasing, including but not limited to analysis of received quotes, quoting behavior, treaty structure, year over year changes in treaty cost, and actual vs. expected costs
