Responsibilities
• Ensure accurate financial results by preparing the financial data for the closing of the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will assist the Manager of Financial Reporting in the internal and external financial reporting for the Company, including monthly Board of Directors reporting, quarterly Bank Compliance reporting and the preparation of the audited financial statements. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will coordinate the fieldwork associated with the annual financial statement audit and other technical accounting projects, including but not limited to Purchase Price Accounting for acquisitions. This position will also be involved with ad hoc finance and accounting related projects as requested by the Board of Directors and Executive Management.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

Annual Audit & Financial Statements
• Act as a liaison between the accounting department and the external audit team. Ensure reconciliations, lead schedules and account analysis are delivered based on agreed upon schedule. Assist in preparation of the annual financial report and related footnotes in accordance with US GAAP.

Technical GAAP Research
• Work with Manager of Financial Reporting on recurring and one-time technical accounting issues, i.e. annual goodwill impairment analysis, stock based compensation, revenue recognition, etc. Understand and implement accounting pronouncements and alert management to all current US GAAP and SEC trends in reporting and compliance that apply to the Company. Includes working with Manager of Financial Reporting to ensure any significant transactions (i.e. mergers, acquisitions, debt refinancing, etc.) are recorded in accordance with proper accounting guidance.

Monthly Reporting to the Board of Directors
• Prepare the monthly financial board package. Coordinate with associates throughout the Company to collect the slides and information needed to populate report based on information requested by the Board. Coordinate preparation of Board report support files for the CFO.

Corporate Balance Sheet accounts
• Ensure fixed assets, goodwill, intangible assets and other non-operational balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled and reviewed on a monthly basis.

Internal controls
• Assist the Corporate Controller in ensuring effective internal controls throughout the corporate accounting organization and in maintaining related documentation.

Bank Compliance Reporting
• Prepare quarterly bank compliance financial report for review by Corporate Controller, Treasury and Legal.

Role Snapshot

Our Field Cost Report Auditor completes audits and desk reviews in accordance with government requirements for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to ensure accurate reporting of statistical and financial data reported on Medicare Cost Report. This role has a direct impact on confirming the US Tax funded Medicare program is working efficiently and cost effective.

Lead and participate in completing Uniform Desk Review/Audit Program within interim and monthly production goals.
Prepare audit adjustment reports and detailed sets of work papers based on Government Auditing Standards and CMS requirements, analysis, and audit/desk review of provider's cost report.
Analyze expense and revenue data for reasonableness and compliance, review provider pricing policies for consistency in charges, and examine statistical data for cost allocations.
Participate in work groups, providing input on work paper guidelines, techniques, and requirements.
Work with and learn current CMS regulations and WPS audit procedures.
Defend reimbursement or audit decisions made during desk review and audit based on documented regulations.

What you'll do:
• Assist in preparation, coordination, and related analyses of quarterly SEC filings.
• Perform technical research, as needed, to resolve accounting and reporting issues.
• Assist with Investor Relations projects
• Prepare quarterly reporting schedules to support financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Coordinate with various levels of management to accumulate necessary data.
• Assist in review of Investor Relations' quarterly earnings release and call script, as well as investor presentations.
• Prepare various pension plan and 401(k) plan annual financial statements.
• Work closely with external auditors facilitating quarterly review and annual audit of SEC filings (10-Q/Ks, 11-Ks) as well as annual pension plans financials.
• Prepare disclosure checklists.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by management.
• Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance processes.

What we're looking for:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Public Accounting or corporate environment. Big Four experience preferred.
• CPA is preferred.

Skills and abilities you should have:
• Knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Knowledge of financial calculations and reporting requirements.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
