Here's what you can expect to do in this role:
• Perform intermediate-level clerical and manual work involving the receipt, disposition, and storage of evidence or property.
• Receive, log, categorize, and store property and evidence impounded by police personnel.
• Release property and evidence to properly-identified claimants and maintain security of the work area.
• Collect fees, issue receipts and change, and maintain records of these financial transactions.
• Take and resolve complaints involved in the storage of evidence and property or refers the matter to higher-level personnel. Perform related duties as required.
Information about the positions

Saint Paul Police Property Room: This is a full-time position.
• Hours: Shift times are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional mandatory call back hours.
• Location: 367 Grove Street, St. Paul, MN
Impound Lot: This is a part-time position which involves working three 8-hour shifts per week on average including most weekends.
• Hours: Shift times are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and will vary from week to week.
• Location: 830 Barge Channel Road, St. Paul, MN

The eligible list created for this position will be used to fill future full-time, part-time, and seasonal/on call vacancies as they become available.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Responsible for the management and oversight of Investment Services accounts of various sizes established by clients for various purposes. Account Managers serve as one of the client's primary contacts, delivering a high level of customer service and is responsible for retention and expansion of relationship revenue as well as expense management. Interprets account governing agreements in order to select appropriate coding for the trust accounting system. Instructs Investment Services support staff, New Accounts Team and Trust Operations on the proper coding to ensure accurate administration of accounts. Oversees work processed by Investment Services support staff, Trust Operations and others to ensure activity within accounts is in accordance with governing agreements, regulatory and legal requirements, and within U.S. Bank procedural guidelines relative to new, existing and closing accounts. Regularly interacts with clients, focusing on current and changing needs of the client. Proactively engages clients to identify sales opportunities and enhance existing relationships with the bank. Provides client referrals to Investment Services. Monitors daily cash positions (both positive and negative) ensuring regulatory compliance. Ensures appropriate legal agreements are retained in house and maintains client profile information. Completes relationship and administrative reviews, works with clients to clear any noted exceptions, responds to requests from WM&IS Risk Management, Trust Compliance and Corporate Audit Services in a timely manner. Monitors fee aging reports, works with clients to collect fees payable, resolves customer issues, communicates efforts to Relationship Managers and Regional Coordinators, escalating as needed. Identifies staff training needs, participates in training events, may coach or assist in training Investment Services support staff and less experienced Account Managers. Identifies and executes opportunities to create capacity and efficiencies. Participates on Investment Services and Trust Operations committees and projects. Attends and participates in new business presentations with prospective clients. Assists and supports other Investment Services offices, including an occasional onsite support event.

Required
• Two to four years of job-related experience, preferably in institutional trust and/or financial industry
• Associate degree or equivalent work experience

PEFERRED
• Basic knowledge of trust administration, products and sales
• Basic knowledge of account management, trust operations, project management, and legal regulations
• Ability to develop new business
• Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lead Staff is responsible for planning and staffing the YouthPower Leadership Institutes 2023-2024 session.

YouthPower is a youth-led organizing and advocacy hub. Eligible participants for the 2023-2024 School Year Session are Black Youth ages 13-19 who are current or previous participants in St. Paul Youth Services' Behavior Intervention or Pre-Charge Diversion programs. Eligible, interested youth complete an application and interview process. The application is focused on leadership, goals, skills, hopes, and dreams. Youth participants earn stipends for their full participation.

The Lead Staff will co-lead the design and implementation of the 2023-2024 School Year Session with experienced youth leaders from previous YouthPower sessions for Black Youth "train-the-trainer" model.

Youth will engage in a semi-structured curriculum of Healing & Identity, Exploration & Innovation, and Policy Change. They will participate in site visits and community forums, identify and develop individual strengths and goals, learn practices for self- and community care, participate in cooperative leadership strategies, engage in critical analysis and creative thinking, prioritize issues, imagine solutions, and communicate their priorities to policymakers and hold them accountable.

The Lead Staff is responsible for designing daily activities aligned with the overall curriculum to ensure the completion of specific experiences and outcomes; establish and practice a culture of high expectations and accountability and high support; organize and lead the day-to-day programming; and document activities and progress. Depending on qualifications and experience, the Lead Staff may also co-lead additional trainings with youth on YouthPowered practices.

• Demonstrated expertise in areas such as youth development, mentoring, human relations, wellness, restorative justice, the arts, education, and/or recreation
• Familiarity with public systems including education, health, housing, juvenile justice, employment, economic development, and how these systems intersect
• Understanding of trauma-informed care, culturally-responsive healing, racism and other systems of power and oppression – relating specifically to Black youth
• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• BA degree, or some college in a relevant field, is preferred but not required
• CPR or First Aid training and certification is preferred
• Must have current driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance
• Must successfully complete the pre-employment process for the position, including a job-relevant criminal background check
• Must have the flexibility to travel overnight
