As an Associate Wealth Advisor, you will play an integral role to the success of Schwab Wealth Advisory by supporting our Wealth Advisors and their clients. You will leverage your client service and wealth management expertise by providing customized financial planning, foundational portfolio needs, and complex client service issues. • Diagnostic Information Gathering – Assist Wealth Advisors with ongoing portfolio maintenance, construction, or adjustment to allow for large deposits or liquidations; Initiate an update to client’s financial plan based on changing client needs

What you have
Essential skills include:
• Active and valid FINRA Series 7 required
• Active and valid FINRA Series 66 required (may be obtained with a 120-day COE)
• 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry

The Corporate Insurance Director will report to the Managing Director, Operational Risk Management within the Enterprise & Operational Risk Management department. The Director will lead a team of two direct reports and be responsible for the purchase and maintenance of the insurance programs (excluding the employee benefits insurance program). The candidate will be responsible for the following core areas:
• Provide leadership and management for success: Build and maintain relationships with insurance brokers and insurance companies, including the planning and participation in underwriter meetings. Manage, lead and develop the members of the insurance group providing feedback, coaching and mentoring. Embrace reporting relationships with the various boards and board committees, department meetings and staff meetings.
• Purchase of Insurance: Identify the insurance needs of the firm by understanding exposure, reviewing limits and retentions. Work through insurance brokers to (or directly for monopolistic states), purchase the appropriate insurance protection. Ensure all policies are bound and paid on time and reviewed for accuracy in a timely manner.
• Claims: Report claims applicable to all policies (except Workers Compensation). Working with Corporate Legal Services, coordinate the collection of insurance reimbursements. Arrange for Third Party Administration (TPA) services for the Workers Compensation program. Participate in Workers Compensation quarterly TPA meetings.
• Subject matter expert: Work with various groups and departments when insurance expertise is required – such as setting and monitoring vendor insurance requirements, explaining coverages, relating how Excess SIPC works to clients and client-facing advisors.
