About The Opportunity
• Identify and address potential weaknesses in SCU’s approach to quality assurance and compliance.
• Design and implement an effective framework for organisational and course reviews process to meet approved timelines and budget.
• Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriateness of ongoing quality assurance and quality improvement activities such as policy development, training with work units, reporting through governance processes.

About You

Your analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with your systemic approach enables you to synthetise issues and apply innovative workable solutions in a complex landscape. As an experienced leader, you will bring strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated success engaging influencing stakeholders to better align with compliance requirements and quality standards.

In Addition, You Will Possess
• Postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience education or training.
• Extensive knowledge of current government and related frameworks for higher education, quality standards and qualifications.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare written material such as reports to executive and senior management, committees and boards, submissions to higher education regulators, deliver briefings to management, and facilitate consultation with staff at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to research, identify, analyse and adapt best practice approaches to quality assurance and quality improvement activities
• Experience leading internal and external compliance reviews, including interoperating legislation, regulations and implementation appropriate compliance solutions.

Salary And Benefits

• Full-time, continuing (permanent)
• Located at either Gold Coast or Lismore. Generous relocation support available.
• HEW Level 10. The base salary ranges from $126,464 - $143,050 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $167,368 per annum.

Southern Cross University is seeking an experienced leader who will bring string interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated success in engaging stakeholders to better align with compliance requirements and quality standards.
This role leads the Quality team to ensure the University implements appropriate quality management functions to meet the requirements of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) and the related legalisation. Core responsibilities include:

The Faculty is seeking interest from experienced and suitable qualified early childhood teachers to undertake a range of casual academic opportunities that will enhance the overall student experience. Previous tertiary experience would be desirable but not essential.
Casual academic staff are required to undertake a range of duties within our programs, with a primary focus on marking, tutorials, workshops and student contact.
The hourly salary for casual academic staff is from $48.53 an hour (up to $57.76 for PhD holders) plus superannuation. Payments will also include additional preparation time where applicable (such as two hours preparation time for one-hour delivery time, and a higher hourly rate, if delivering a basic lecture). All casual positions have a degree of administrative duties.
These roles offer flexible working conditions online and on campus at the Gold Coast, with professional experience supervision available at Lismore, Coffs Harbour and online.
About you
With relevant qualifications and professional experience, you will have a proven track record of maximising educational outcomes. You will be a passionate and engaged Early Childhood Education and Care teacher, with a strong working knowledge of contemporary principles and practices in early childhood education and care. You will be willing to share your knowledge and expertise with the future education providers and leaders to promote excellence in this field of education.
