The ideal candidate is a welcoming individual with excellent communication and customer service skills and a desire to develop and grow Library programs and services. Under the general direction and oversight of the Associate Vice President for Student Success, the Director will be responsible for oversight, planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and participating in a balanced program of library services for students, faculty, and administration at South Dakota Mines. Qualifications:
o A Master's Degree in Library and Information Science or a related field AND five or more years of professional experience in an academic library

Physics faculty at South Dakota Mines are conducting internationally recognized research in astroparticle physics, dark matter search, neutrino physics, nuclear astrophysics, as well as condensed matter and materials science. The IceCube group at SDSMT consists of two faculty, two graduate students and undergraduate students working on IceCube simulation, data analysis, and the R&D of IceCube Generation-2. The Department of Chemistry, Biology, and Health Sciences at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is seeking a full-time, benefited, 9-month, term Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to support the ACS approved Chemistry program starting Fall 2023. Primary responsibilities will include teaching General Chemistry lecture courses and supervising graduate teaching assistants in General Chemistry lab courses. The position will also provide opportunities to teach other courses in their area of expertise and to collaborate with other faculty in outreach and pedagogical innovations. A PhD in Chemistry or a related field is required. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and to participate in service to the department and university, curriculum development, and student advising.
