General Job Description

This is a professional position responsible for developing and executing a holistic undergraduate recruitment plan to assist with meeting university goals. Responsible for managing the day-to-day recruitment operations of the admissions office. Leads the design and implementation of initiatives and activities that advance undergraduate recruitment. Responsible for coordinating proactive programs and services that promote successful undergraduate enrollment, including recruitment, pre-matriculation, transition, retention, and graduation rates. Serves as a member of the enrollment management leadership team. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Essential Job Functions
• Develops strategic recruitment objectives for undergraduate recruitment team.
• Establishes and meets specific, measurable, and attainable recruitment goals, actively seeking efficiencies and improvements.
• Utilizes data to monitor undergraduate recruitment trends and prepares reports to assess recruitment effectiveness.
• Designs and implements undergraduate recruitment plan, including university partnerships, events, and programs.
• Serves as a liaison between Admissions and campus departments to increase collaboration, determine needs, and identify resources for programming, recruitment, and retention.
• Facilitates and provides public presentations on campus and in high schools and community colleges.
• Contributes to the development of a communications plan that addresses the recruitment needs of a diverse prospective student population.
• Hires, trains, supervises, coaches, and evaluates assigned staff.
• Resolves undergraduate recruitment related issues.
• Assists with departmental budget planning and tracking.
• Stays abreast of developments and trends related to area of responsibility.

General Job Description

Responsible for the daily assessing, planning, and organizing of teaching activities and providing appropriate innovative instruction based on student needs. Fosters a community of learners where the teacher becomes a facilitator of learning, a mentor, and a coach. Creates a positive learning environment that impacts all students with the opportunity to develop autonomy, openness, integrity, collaborative skills, and creativity. Possesses the ability to communicate effectively with peers, teachers, and persons with advanced levels of expertise in common areas of interest and involvement. Evaluates individual childs performance of activities and recommend promotion. Fosters a mastery of the TEKS in the core academic disciplines in preparing students for secondary and post-secondary education. Develops programs for students with special needs. Supervises and mentors university teacher candidates working in the classroom. Reports directly to the CEO of the SFA Charter School and the academic coordinator.

Essential Job Functions

+ Plans and uses appropriate instructional learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the learning styles and meet the needs of assigned students.

+ Develops and implements TEKS based lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of campus curricula and shows written evidence of preparation as required.

+ Works cooperatively to modify curricula as needed for special education students according to guidelines established in Individual Education Plans ( IEP ).

+ Works with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to campus requirements.

+ Plans, supervises, and evaluates assignments of teacher aide(s), volunteer(s), and teacher candidate(s).

+ Uses technology to strengthen the learning environment.

+ Assists in the management of the daily attendance and other classroom routines.

+ Conducts ongoing informal and formal TEKS based assessment of student achievement to guide instruction and inform stakeholders.

+ Assumes responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned. Sponsors activities approved by CEO , i.e. safety patrol, student organizations, after school programs.

+ Implements a facilitator/mentor style of instruction to create a classroom environment conducive to learning along with physical, social, and emotional development of students.

+ Professionally manages classroom/students in accordance with established policies and procedures.

+ Establishes and maintains open effective communication with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.

+ Stays abreast of and complies with all school, university, state and federal regulations and policies.
