Job Description
Core Optimize Data Science & Engineering is an interdisciplinary product group that builds:
• the foundational data infrastructure that powers the analytical experiences for millions of merchants globally
• product analytics to understand how merchants use analytics to grow their businesses
• discovery and investigation data products to enable deeper usage of analytics for merchants
• ML powered data products that render network effects to merchants
The OptimizeDevelop Data Engineering team plays a critical role within this group, developing the backend tools, capabilities, data models, and interfaces for Shopify and its partners to access the freshest, cleanest data available. Shopify's Editions | Winter '23 showcases this work.
In this role, you will serve as technical lead for large parts of our infrastructure investments, extending the current capabilities of our data access layer, data models, and data warehouse to enable new analytical experiences for millions of merchants around the world. Your team will partner with Data Science, Data Foundations, Compute and Streaming teams by maintaining and optimizing backend infrastructure tooling for analytical model and ETL development.
The tooling developed and maintained by this group allows our Data Scientists to operationalize complex, low latency data sets that drive analytical experiences from initial deployment through to production. You will be tasked with providing technical leadership within your team to support the mission and working closely with a cross-functional team of data scientists, data engineers, and engineering leaders.
Qualifications
• Staff Data Engineers at Shopify typically have 2+ years of previous experience at the Staff or Lead level, with proven ability to lead large development initiatives, mentor peers, and generally 7-10+ year of hands on software/data development experience
• You're highly technical and familiar with all components of a typical data stack (ranging from data acquisition, storage, modeling and process, to serving)
• You bring strong experience with data systems and data infrastructure at scale
• You have a deep understanding of the modern data stack including Flink, binary storage formats like Parquet, dbt or spark, SQL engine, etc.
• You naturally lean toward mentoring high-caliber engineers with diverse technical strengths and backgrounds

The SEO Lead function is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to grow organic traffic across all Shopify properties on the Content & SEO team. Tapcart is looking for a strategic Product Manager who can help drive the product roadmap for the thousands of merchants who use Tapcart to reach millions of customers everyday. Product Management at Tapcart leads the integration of engineering, data, and design to achieve the company's vision for being the mobile shopping platform for billions of consumers around the globe. In this role you will develop a keen understanding of how the market is moving and what is relevant to merchants and consumers globally. You’ll work collaboratively to make sure our value prop is clear to any merchant or customer segment and motivates merchants to lean in with Tapcart’s expanding product offering.
This role reports to the VP of Product. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building value driving products from custom feedback. You are a metrics-driven pro and can partner effectively across the organization to differentiate our product, drive growth in key business metrics, and can evangelize the product vision we see for the business. While not required, previous experience in eCommerce is a great benefit.

• Own your team's products, existing or new, from ideation through development, launch, and maintenance

• 4+ years experience on RestAPI and Shopify theme SDK
• Expertise in Shopify's Liquid templating language and strong hand on experience in installing & customizing new Shopify themes

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,000 to $189,000.

• Create sales opportunities (ABM-driven pipeline): We are looking for marketers who can help us initiate sales conversations with relevant prospects. Your success will mainly be measured on Sales Opportunities you contribute to creating
• Own strategy & execution of ABM program and all related tactics (direct mail, web personalization, email, etc.)
• Work collaboratively with sales to identify target accounts and campaign messaging, then coordinate creation of multi-channel, multi-touch pipeline creation and acceleration campaigns that drive revenue & sales activity
• Leverage account-based data and technology to help our marketing and sales teams attract, engage, convert, and grow strategic accounts
• Learn the target market’s pain points and dive deep into their niche
• Lead ongoing ABM check-ins with sales team to ensure account goals, key contacts and account plans remain on track, adjusting program as needed
WHO YOU ARE
• Bachelor's degree and 3-5+ years relevant experience, preferably in the ecomm SaaS space

• You are a "full-stack" B2B marketer with proficiency in inbound marketing, content marketing, digital marketing, and account nurturing. Strong understanding of how to use inbound marketing and content marketing to generate more qualified leads
• Experience with targeting, segmentation and list acquisition to build prospect lists for demand gen campaigns
• Highly creative: You like to come up with out-of-the-box ideas for ABM executions, and strive to create a memorable prospect experience through unique ABM experiences
• Collaborative, team-player: You enjoy helping sales teams level-up their ABM outreach, and are hands-on when it comes to ABM execution
• Superb analytical skills: You can navigate through spreadsheets and find trends and key takeaways. You’re obsessed with metrics and make decisions informed by data
