This role will act as the liaison between users (Revvity Signals customers) and the Revvity Signals software. As such, this person will be responsible for the “customer handshake” (listening to requirements, brainstorming ideas, getting feedback on design) as well as the definition and documentation of these requirements for the software engineers.

End users of the software are laboratory scientists, so it is essential that the Product Manager has demonstrated understanding of and experience with scientific workflows.

Responsibilities:

As a Software Product Manager at Revvity Signals, you'll be at the helm of defining the vision and feature set for our product line, ensuring its long-term success and alignment with company goals. Your role will involve close collaboration with various departments to set development timelines, train teams on new releases, engage with customers to understand their needs, and manage resources, quality, budgets, and expectations.
• Identify Market Needs: Conduct thorough market research, including direct interactions with current and potential customers, to identify emerging market needs and trends.
• Generate Functional Ideas: Drive the generation of ideas for new and existing functionality, particularly focusing on supporting biologics workflows, leveraging insights from market research.
• Collaborate with R&D and Services: Partner with Research & Development (R&D) and Services teams to translate identified market needs into tangible product features and solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
• Evangelize Products: Act as the internal and external champion for our product offerings, advocating for their value proposition and benefits to both stakeholders within the company and external customers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in a scientific domain related to life science research AND 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in building or using enterprise software solutions and 5 years of experience working with laboratory/scientific workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a software product manager is highly desirable, though anyone with proven experience “bridging the gap” from requirements to design to software-build is encouraged to apply.
• Sound understanding of software product life cycle management.
• Demonstrated requirements analysis & documentation experience.
• Experience with the Agile software development methodology and related processes and tools (e.g. sprint review meetings, JIRA, Aha!, use case authoring, bug triaging, etc.).
• Proficiency with product management concepts and articulating product concepts to groups of developers (e.g. storyboarding, mind mapping, use case development, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills used across multiple and varied stakeholders.
• Translating needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Experience demonstrating or training other users in software.
• Direct experience in software engineering a plus, but not required.
• Direct experience with the business aspects of building and selling software products a plus, but not required.
• Business and technically savvy; has big picture vision and drive to make that vision a reality.

Join the Valley Metro team as a Signal Systems Engineer! This position is part of the Maintenance of Way team and will serve as the technical expert for Valley Metro's train control/signal systems ensuring safe operation of Valley Metro light rail and Tempe Streetcar. Valley Metro Rail currently includes of 30 miles of light rail and 3 miles of streetcar alignment.

The Signal Systems Engineer is responsible for all operational, maintenance, configuration, and technical aspects of Valley Metro’s Signaling Systems. Assures Signaling and all support equipment remain compliant with Valley Metro quality standards, specifications, FTA and/or ADOT requirements, and all safety-related aspects. Serves as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all of Valley Metro’s Signaling Systems in support of Maintenance of Way and Management.
This is a technical role as an engineer responsible for train control systems. The purpose of this position is to provide rail transit signal system evaluation and analyses of engineering design, integration, and construction work including: grade-crossing warning systems; microprocessor and relay based interlockings, wayside signal equipment, positive train control and block signal systems for Valley Metro projects. The successful candidate will rely upon experience and knowledge of train control and signal systems and regulations to ensure that Agency Safety, Technical Performance, Quality, Cost and Schedule Goals are met or exceeded.

The Signal Systems Engineer is an exempt (salaried) position.

Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); coordinates with MOW technical trainer in the development of training programs; instructs maintenance employees in the diagnostic, repair, and maintenance signaling systems; works directly with Asset Management staff in support of the on-going maintenance program.

Participates in the development and administration of the division's annual budget including forecasting of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies.

Monitors maintenance and manufacturing activities to assure contractual and manufacturer compliance; performs field measurements and calculations to verify quantities and quality of completed work; assists with contracts administration for management of equipment procurement, testing and consultant contracts.

Communicates understanding and support of organizational goals through actions and spoken and written records; interacts effectively with individuals and groups within and outside of the organization; keeps all interested and involved stakeholders informed of matters requiring their attention.
