We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team as a Service Specialist within our Customer Solutions Center (CSC). The Customer Solutions Center in the sales and service department at Simply Business - striving to provide a great experience to all current and future customers!

The Service Specialist is an entry level role and will be responsible for providing operational support, as well as managing the administrative support needed to assist the CSC in making sales, providing ongoing customer support, issuing quotes and policy documents, handling inbound calls from customers and certificates of insurance.

The CSC is fast moving and experiences changes to its processes on a frequent basis. The Service Specialist will need to have a flexible approach, keen attention to detail, an eye for process documentation, and ideally has experience in making recommendations to improve process efficiencies.

Core Responsibilities:
• Prioritize & allocate workload for Licensed Agents
• Issue certificates of insurance
• Manage call back process
• Issue Policy documents
• Quality check Licensed Agents calls for compliance purposes
• Update sales reports
• Manage Zendesk ticketing system and shared Google mailbox
• Document current and future state processes
• Look for ways to make processes more efficient
• Answer inbound calls from current customers for billing/payment request and certificate of insurance inquiries

What we are looking for:
• Customer service experience within a fast paced all center environment is required
• Experience in commercial insurance lines or another complex insurance
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively
• Attention to detail
• Excellent phone efficiency and discipline to schedule adherence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in using Google Suite
• Great organizational planning and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and take initiative, and work well under pressure and deadlines

As our SB growth ambitions continue to take hold, we are looking for a high caliber individual to join our growing finance team as a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst. This individual will report into a Senior Finance Business Partner and lead the reporting of weekly and monthly business results as well as support FBP’s in identifying and investigating any changes in trends. We are looking for a candidate with a strong sense of initiative, keen eye for detail, and an ability to find solutions in the face of ambiguity.

As a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst you will:
• Own the end to end process for key weekly and monthly reporting including:
• Operational metrics - preparation of finance reporting packs, synthesizing key variances and drivers, and communicating to the business via weekly trading emails. This will require ad hoc analysis and regular communication with Finance Business Partners and business leaders to explore trends and unexplained variances
• Headcount & expenses - preparation of monthly headcount and consolidated expense reports, including variance and trend analysis
• Revenue clawback - reporting and monitoring of cancellation trends to support the preparation of monthly clawback bookings
• Coordinating monthly trading meeting with key business leaders to discuss recent results and expectations for the month ahead

What we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
• 3-5 years of experience working in a finance team (preferably FP&A)
• Demonstrated experience and a high level of skill working with MS Excel

What's going on with work from home and return to the office?

More and more, people are talking about going back to the workplace and the new normal. At Simply Business, we’re thinking of it as a Better Normal. That means offering our SBers more choice and greater flexibility to work in a way that’s best for their particular job, their teams, and their lives.

We’re shifting to a hybrid working model, so we’ll have employees working virtually and in the office at any given time.

We’re also aware there are times when working together in person is the best way to get things done. We expect our SBers to connect in their hubs (that’s what we call our offices) most likely once every few weeks. That said, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, so we expect all SBers and their teams will find the operating rhythm that works best for them.
