The Position:
Under general supervision, the Admissions & Records Assistant III performs a variety of clerical and
technical duties related to planning and implementing a variety of student enrollment services. The Admissions & Records Assistant III provides policy and procedural information, documents and tracks student enrollment activity, and assists supervisory staff in coordinating and monitoring the work of hourlies and student workers. Public contact is extensive and includes students, staff, and the general public as well as other educational and governmental institutions for the purpose of exchanging policy and procedural information. The Position:
Under direction, the Program Services Coordinator assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of services, such as student recruitment, orientation, job skills assessments and job placement, special events, tours, individual and specialized programs and other support for current and potential program participants. The Position:
Reporting to the Dean of Strategic Partnerships and Workforce Development (SPWD), the Director of Middle College is responsible for planning, opening, developing, organizing, directing, and evaluating the Middle College and other closely related campus programs and services. The Director of Middle College is responsible for working with college and high school leaders and faculty members to manage and administer a Middle College program which offers high school students concurrent enrollment and instruction in related areas, such as study skills, tutoring services, academic counseling, guidance on career options, assistance in securing admission and financial aid for enrollment in four-year institutions, and mentorship. The director is responsible for the overall supervision and evaluation of the entire staff.

• Work with Skyline College and area high school leadership and stakeholders to develop and implement the goals, objectives, and activities for the Middle College Program
• Develop and implement Middle College curriculum in concert with college and high school faculty and staff
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain the preparation of a variety of outreach activities for the Middle College Program, including print materials and electronic information, such as newsletters, brochures, and web sites
• Lead and participate in the research, preparation, application for, and follow-up procedures required for grants and other external sources of funding, including preparation and submission of reports as required
• Maintain current knowledge of Middle College programs, as well as other concurrent enrollment and high school programs
• Monitor progress and maintain records of students served by Middle College Program and prepare program evaluation and performance reports
• Serve as liaison and conduct outreach activities with the college, high school, and the community
• Conduct intake process: diagnose, assess, and place new applicants
• Coordinate the selection, purchase, and evaluation of learning resource equipment and materials for use by faculty and students
• Plan and monitor program budgets, including categorical budgets
• Develop goals, objectives, and activities as well as guidelines and evaluation tools for needs assessment in areas of client satisfaction, program effectiveness, and delivery of services
• Recommend and participate in the implementation of staff development programs for Middle College faculty and staff
• Evaluate faculty and staff work performance
• Coordinate the preparation of catalog and brochure materials for programs
• Provide articulation/liaison with other college divisions, services, student groups, and off-campus institutions and groups
• Participate and collaborate actively with other administrators
• Establish and maintain rapport with high school and college faculty, staff, administration, and community stakeholders
• Engage with the Dual Enrollment (DE) program at Skyline, including division dean, staff, and partners, to explore future collaborative efforts in the Colleges service areas

Minimum Qualifications:

The Position:

Under general supervision, the Cosmetology Office Assistant performs detailed clerical and operational support for the Cosmetology Program. The ideal candidate will share the College's commitment to educating a racially and socioeconomically diverse student population. Under the supervision of the Dean of Counseling, this position includes assignments 50% in supporting students in the STEM Center and 50% as the PUENTE Program Counselor/Co-coordinator. The duties of this counselor will cover the full range of general counseling responsibilities including academic, career, and personal counseling with both individuals and groups and teaching discipline-specific courses with a focus on supporting the STEM Center and students in STEM-related fields. As the PUENTE Counselor/Co-coordinator, this position is responsible for implementing PUENTE, a model transfer program, as part of the English faculty/counselor team.

The PUENTE Program is a University of California affiliated transfer and support program, the goal of which is to increase the number of educationally underrepresented students transferring to four-year colleges and universities. Three components of the PUENTE Program work together to prepare PUENTE students for transfer: counseling, English instruction, and mentoring. The PUENTE Program's curriculum focuses on the Chicano/Latino experience. PUENTE is open to all students.

This is a temporary position funded by the HSI STEM Grant and may be eliminated once the grant funding has been exhausted.

5. Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States

6. Approval of your employment by the SMCCCD Board of Trustees

7. Provide a certificate of Tuberculosis exam for initial employment.

8. Have fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer (Clearance must be received prior to first day of employment). Please note that the California Education Code requires, in part, that community college districts shall not employ or retain in employment persons in public school service who have been convicted of certain felonies, a misdemeanor drug charge (including alcohol offenses) or misdemeanor moral turpitude (sexual offense) crime. However, consideration may be given to those whose drug convictions occurred more than five years ago. A conviction for other crimes may not necessarily disqualify you from the job for which you may be applying
