We find that the personal interaction between a trainer and client is essential to making training sales. Additionally in our small club we need everyone to play multiple roles as part of a small team. You would have scheduled staff hours (typically 10 to... 20 per week) in which you are paid an hourly rate plus commissions for selling memberships, providing member support, conducting PT consultations and keeping the gym clean. You are often working alone in this role so completing tasks and taking responsibility for the club is essential. This gives you a way to earn some money while you get to know members and talk to people about training. As you pick up training clients, you can schedule their training sessions at times that work for both them and you, outside of your scheduled staff hours. Another plus is we pay a much higher split than the larger gyms for the training sessions that you complete, 60% of the session value. If you think you would like this small club environment with a dual role and multiple responsibilities, then this would be a good job for you.
Responsibilities:
• Membership & Personal Training Sales - Responsible for achieving sales goals established by leadership team.
• Service Excellence - Provide members with the best equipment, guidance, and value-added services to help them achieve results.
• Member Engagement/Involvement - Communicate with members regularly to keep them informed and engaged.
• Facility Excellence - Ensure that facility's equipment and cleanliness/tidiness consistently meet company standards.
• Conduct fitness assessments and advise members on ways to achieve their fitness goals.
• Develop individualized exercise programs consistent with our members' personal fitness and exercise goals
Requirements:
• Availability to work evening and weekend hours.
• Nationally recognized PT certification and CPR cert
• A passion for fitness demonstrated in your own life.
• Strong communication skills
• Must be very coachable
Compensation: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
