For fall appointments, the position begins in August and ends in January.
Responsibilities:
• Weekly interaction with assigned student teacher(s) and cooperating teachers, which may also include attending weekly seminars
• Observe and gather data on lessons conducted by student teachers at various school sites
• Review student teacher's weekly lesson plans
• Provide descriptive feedback on a student teacher's execution of professional responsibilities (lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, classroom interaction, maintenance of records)
• Support candidates' growth in the field through observations; help candidates assess classroom situations and troubleshoot problems in the field.
• Support student teachers in completing the SNC Teacher Work Sample (TWS) and possibly score several TWSs.
• Help the student teacher relate teaching theory to classroom practice (ex., discuss reasons for selecting materials and methods)
• Help the student teacher develop consistent classroom management practices conducive to learning, which promotes respect for all and cultural and linguistic diversity
• Project a positive representation of the program and college at all times and act as a liaison between St. Norbert and PK-12 school district stakeholders
• Complete all required paperwork, i.e., surveys, observations, and evaluations, by the given deadlines
• Respond to emails, phone calls, questions, and other inquiries in a timely manner
• Communicate concerns with the Associate Director of Clinical Placements to keep them updated and involved with solutions
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Holds a valid Wisconsin license
• Minimum three years of teaching experience
• Minimum of a Masters Degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills, in particular, the ability to work with students, teachers, and college faculty
• Ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with individuals and groups of various cultures or backgrounds

Supervisors are appointed on a semester-by-semester basis. This position offers flexibility in scheduling.
For fall appointments, the position begins in August and ends in January.
Responsibilities:
• Weekly interaction with assigned student teacher(s) and cooperating teachers, which may also include attending weekly seminars
• Observe and gather data on lessons conducted by student teachers at various school sites
• Review student teacher's weekly lesson plans
• Provide descriptive feedback on a student teacher's execution of professional responsibilities (lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, classroom interaction, maintenance of records)
• Support candidates' growth in the field through observations; help candidates assess classroom situations and troubleshoot problems in the field.
• Support student teachers in completing the SNC Teacher Work Sample (TWS) and possibly score several TWSs.
• Help the student teacher relate teaching theory to classroom practice (ex., discuss reasons for selecting materials and methods)
• Help the student teacher develop consistent classroom management practices conducive to learning, which promotes respect for all and cultural and linguistic diversity
• Project a positive representation of the program and college at all times and act as a liaison between St. Norbert and PK-12 school district stakeholders
• Complete all required paperwork, i.e., surveys, observations, and evaluations, by the given deadlines
• Respond to emails, phone calls, questions, and other inquiries in a timely manner
• Communicate concerns with the Associate Director of Clinical Placements to keep them updated and involved with solutions
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Holds a valid Wisconsin license
• Minimum three years of teaching experience
• Minimum of a Masters Degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills, in particular, the ability to work with students, teachers, and college faculty
• Ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with individuals and groups of various cultures or backgrounds
• Competency with technology for communication, coaching/mentoring, and documentation, and/or ability to learn and use new software systems
• Applicants must be available during the regular PK-12 school day for supervision
• Ability to travel to multiple school settings within a 35-mile radius of De Pere, WI
Preferred Qualifications:
• Educational coaching or mentoring experience, especially with novice teachers
• Minimum five years of teaching experience as a highly effective teacher
