DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

The Post Production team oversees and manages the post process for all Columbia/Tristar feature films. From establishing the budgets that control production workflows for camera and sound on set, through the editing process, to its final delivery, the post team works very closely with the creative executives and filmmakers to ensure the look and sound of the film is at the highest quality. The post process includes picture editorial, sound, visual effects and music. Additionally, our team is responsible for providing quality-controlled content and technical support for special events, previews, and premieres.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist post production team with various tasks

• Create and distribute post production schedules

• Write purchase orders

• Help set up editorial rooms on and off the lot

• Organize and prep inventory, as well as track items in use on various projects

• Help collect timecards and check them for accuracy

• Assist post team with drive-ons to the lot

• Help track and update projections holds for various films on the lot in our screening rooms

• Assist in creating badges for editorial crew and IDMs

• Assist with prepping start paperwork for ADR sessions and editorial crew

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highly organized, resourceful, and dependable with excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a voluminous deadline-oriented department.

• Must be willing to take and follow directions

• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize to ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner

• Must be flexible – an ability to work well in an environment where needs and priorities are subject to much revision

Furthermore, as an enterprise has existing legacy applications and databases and companies need to continue to use them while adding or migrating to a new set of applications, the Application Lead needs to possess the expertise to continue to develop new applications, seeing how existing applications fit into the new model, and then devising ways to efficiently incorporate existing data while adding new applications and data. Additionally, the Application Lead is frequently entrusted with modifying applications. Essential Responsibilities

• Subpoenas – managing process from receiving to responding to third party subpoenas issued in CA and other jurisdictions. Coordinate gathering various documents from company department contacts, prepare responses, declarations, and in some instances, objections. An understanding of legal requirements for subpoenas issued for state versus federal court litigations is important. Familiarity with subpoenas issued through the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board is a plus.

• Requests for personnel records and information requests – work with company department contacts to gather documents responsive to requests sent by current/former employees and/or their counsel.

• Levies – manage process from receiving, responding, and complying with attachments issued to judgment creditors, including but not limited to Levies issued pursuant to Writs of Execution. Where applicable, work with accounts payable, participations, residuals, and payroll departments to respond and ensure continued compliance with court orders.

• Coordinate and oversee reporting of pending and potential U.S. and foreign litigation claims to outside auditors.

• Coordinate and oversee creation of periodic budgets and projections of litigation expenses for internal purposes.

• General paralegal assistance with litigation and arbitration matters

Job Requirements

• Education: BA degree

• 5-7 years of experience in paralegal support in law firm or in house setting

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to effectively use standard document creation and management programs like Word and Excel

• Good writing skills

• Professionalism and maintenance of confidentiality

• Experience dealing with lawyers, executives, and outside auditors

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

Support and/or lead workstreams and projects within the IMO portfolio:

Requirements:

• Strong functional expertise in Finance & Accounting, HR / organizational design, IT, leadership and stakeholder management, communication planning and change management

The anticipated base salary for this position is $116K to $155K. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
