JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under regular supervision, performs responsible semiskilled work involving a variety of assignments at the County collection centers. Operates trash and cardboard/mixed paper compactors; maintains the area of the collection center; assists the public; monitors recycling containers; opens and closes the facility. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Collections Coordinator.
KNOWLEDGE OF JOB:
Checks vehicles entering collection center; verifies origin of trash; ensures no hazardous materials are present; directs traffic to appropriate disposal site. Is knowledgeable in the methods, policies and procedures of the department pertaining to specific duties of the Collections Site Operator. Understands the rules of proper disposal operations.
Has the ability to effectively communicate with individuals and groups from a wide variety of educational and cultural backgrounds. Has the ability to utilize common sense understanding and independent judgment in routine and non-routine situations. Has the ability to work in various weather conditions including smoke, dust, heat, cold, wetness, etc. Is able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision. Is able to assist truck drivers, and guide vehicles into dumping positions and to maintain the disposal facility in a clean manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Must be physically able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to push, pull or otherwise move objects. Work involves climbing, bending and stooping for short periods of time. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of 5 to 10 pounds. Requires the ability to hear, speak and/or signal people to exchange information. Requires the ability to read and write required reports and records, using proper format. Requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions and to explain procedures. Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Requires good eye/hand/foot coordination.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate with the ability to deal and meet with the public in a proper manner.

If yes, National Youth Advocate Program has an exciting opportunity for you as a Therapist providing Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT). BSFT is an evidence-based and strengths-focused family therapy model designed for at-risk youth and their families. Services are short-term and have been scientifically proven to help youth and families overcome challenges such as behavioral issues, substance abuse, delinquency, and conduct disorder. Training and supervision for full certification in BSFT is provided by NYAP in cooperation with Family Therapy Training Institute of Miami (FTTIM).
As a Therapist with National Youth Advocate Program, you will work in the community as part of our Intensive In-Home Services team throughout Spartanburg County with some overlap into surrounding counties. providing counseling or therapy, advocacy and support to adolescents, youth and children, as well as their families, toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.

Minimum Qualifications
• MSW or MaCC from an accredited institution.
• Valid South Carolina Licensure; LISW or LPC
• Experience in providing both individual and family therapy, preferred

• Daily travel required; willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule during non-traditional hours as needed
• Must be comfortable providing services in the community and in client homes.
