Steamboat Springs is also home to Howelsen Hill ski area, the oldest continuously operating ski area in North America, and world-famous geothermal hot springs, among many other local features.

Responsibilities will include writing well-sourced stories and news reports, along with producing shorter staff reports and news briefs. We will expect you to ensure accuracy, fairness and correct spelling and grammar in all your reporting duties while working at the direction of the publisher and editor.
Qualified applicants will have a journalism degree, degree in a similar field or applicable work experience; a deep knowledge of AP style; the availability to work some nights, weekends and holidays; a current driver’s license and transportation; and most importantly, a serious desire to perform great community journalism.
