• Strategy - Define the learning and development strategy, the budget, system and suppliers required to appropriately meet the needs of the Charity now and in the longer term
• Skills Development - Work with leaders across the charity to establish the skills requirements for roles at all levels. Curate existing materials and ensure best practice is shared across our businesses. Sourcing or creating materials to bridge any gaps in skills development
• Leadership Development and Engagement - Work with the Director of People and Culture to create a leadership culture where colleagues are supported, empowered, and encouraged to reach their full potential
• Talent and Succession Planning - Work with the Charity and HR to develop visible career pathways with development opportunities and milestones for colleagues to progress through, e.g. IRD frameworks

What we want from you:
• Qualified and relevant experience in a large organisation of Learning, Talent, Succession and Engagement, preferably within a regulated financial services environment
• Substantial experience of managing and leading a large team
• Strong relationship building and partnering skills
• Collaborative approach to work and to building relationships
• The ability to influence at all levels
• Inclusive and engaging leadership style that achieves results through others
• Project and matrix management skills
• Experience of delivering a large change agenda
• Strong proven facilitation skills
• Previous experience of effectively managing local and organisational wide budgets
