Job Description:
SUNY Schenectady County Community College is seeking a full-time
Dean of Business and Professional Programs. Reporting to the Vice
President for Academic Affairs, the Dean of Business and
Professional Programs, is responsible for the management of the
division. This reimagined position represents a new configuration
of divisional faculty and aligns with the College's academic plans
and strategic goals for student success. The Dean supervises and
evaluates faculty and staff and oversees the administration of
bargaining agreements and personnel administration regarding

including the implementation and updating of annual faculty
development activities
• Coordinate and implement orientation for full-time and adjunct

• Conduct and manage divisional and smaller program meetings
• Collaborate and plan with other division deans as well as areas
across the College to support student enrollment and retention
• Lead and coordinate assignment of staff to participate in
mandatory departmental activities to include program reviews,
course outline updates, program updates and assessment activities
and the coordination of faculty participation in college
committees
• Schedule all division courses including day/evening/weekend
courses, coordinating the use of facilities, and planning and
coordination of all credit programming including off-site
activities under the direction of the VPAA
• Maintain and oversee articulation agreements
• Plan and collaborate with College in the High School program
staff
• Participate in student orientation, open houses, and
information nights
• Oversee and manage adherence to all areas of the Academic Code
and all areas of College policies within the division
• Develop and maintain annual division budget including analyses
and recommendations to ensure the cost effectiveness of program and
course section offerings
• Participate in strategic planning and ensure the implementation
of any associated initiatives involving the division and Academic
Affairs Lead in planning for facilities, equipment and staffing
needs based on strategic planning initiatives
• Lead and coordinate assignment division faculty and staff
participation in mandatory departmental activities (e.g., program
reviews, curricular refinement and development, and assessment
activities, program accreditation), complete and manage analyses of
division programs and staffing needs
• Serve as the Evening Administrator in Charge at least one week

Job Description:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Academic Advisement and
Retention, the Academic Advisor will be assigned a caseload of
students who they will provide comprehensive and intrusive
advisement for throughout the academic year. The Academic Advisor
will be responsible to ensure that their assigned caseload receives

The Academic Advisor plays an integral role in the College's
efforts towards student success, retention and graduation. The
Academic Advisor will advocate for student educational achievement
to the highest attainable standard, support student goals, and
uphold the educational mission of the college. The advisor will
proactively contact and be available for student advisees on a
regular basis. The advisor will serve as a member of student
success team to ensure engagement, advocacy, and support of SUNY
Schenectady students. The Academic Advisor is a member of the
Strategic Initiative & Planning Unit and is a 12-month,

Reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Learner Support supports and acts as point on multiple programs and services in support of the student onramp and engagement, with direct responsibility for New Student Registration Days, New Student Orientation, the Student Services Center, EOP, and TRIO. The Dean will provide leadership, strategic direction and supervision of their areas of responsibility, including Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP), the Testing Center Coordinator, and ReaCH, the College's student success initiative. The Dean of Learner Support provides direct supervision over administrators, professional, technical, and administrative support staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for oversight of the operations and management the Student Services Center, the LPP, EOP, TRIO, and the Testing Center
• Leads the College's ReaCH student success initiative including acting as the point for the steering committee, collaborating with campus offices and ReaCH working groups, and having responsibility for various ReaCH initiatives
• Establishes data driven priorities and metrics to support student completion of onramp and engagement activities in support of enrollment and retention

SUNY Schenectady County Community College is seeking a full-time Dean of Learner Support. Reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Learner Support supports and acts as point on multiple programs and services in support of the student onramp and engagement, with direct responsibility for New Student Registration Days, New Student Orientation, the Student Services Center, EOP, and TRIO. The Dean will provide leadership, strategic direction and supervision of their areas of responsibility, including Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP), the Testing Center Coordinator, and ReaCH, the College's student success initiative. The Dean of Learner Support provides direct supervision over administrators, professional, technical, and administrative support staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for oversight of the operations and management the Student Services Center, the LPP, EOP, TRIO, and the Testing Center
• Leads the College's ReaCH student success initiative including acting as the point for the steering committee, collaborating with campus offices and ReaCH working groups, and having responsibility for various ReaCH initiatives
• Establishes data driven priorities and metrics to support student completion of onramp and engagement activities in support of enrollment and retention
• Responsible for developing buy in and consensus across campus for support of student onramp, engagement, and retention programming
• Continuously monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of programming under the Dean's area of responsibility including the assessment of individual programming and overall Learner Support programming
• Collaborates with faculty and staff across campus in the planning, development, and implementation of programming in support of student engagement, retention, and enrollment
• Manage and participate in the development of Student Success Program budgets including forecasting for budget needs (e.g., staffing, equipment, supplies, etc.), overseeing budget monitoring and approval of expenditures and directing the preparation and implementation of budgetary adjustments as necessary
• Supports the College's mission and responsiveness to student needs, ensuring the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion are embedded in procedures, policies, and the operations under the Dean's area of responsibility
• Responsible for overseeing Study Abroad academic partnerships and working in collaboration with the division/school deans to identify opportunities to expand current Study Abroad programing
• Responsible for managing the College's Perkins Grant including collaborating with teams across campus and completion of required reporting
• Participates in and supports collaboration across all areas of the College in support of a welcoming, supportive, student-centered environment fostering engagement and success
• Responsible for researching and remaining current on the landscape learner support, engagement, enrollment, and retention advances in the field of higher education and such programming at other colleges
• Collaborates with teams across campus to support the development of Institute Week and other professional development programming to increase knowledge and advance the service of students
• Serves as Evening Administrator for two weeks during the Academic Year
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Proficiency using the game engine Unity 3D or similar environments
• At least one year of experience in teaching, preferably at the community college level
• Experience with online instruction
