TextNowis looking for a Talent Managerfor our team. In this role, you will be responsible for recruitment success and scaling our teams across all departments. This individual will drive the talent branding strategy, recruitment strategyand team execution while working closely with the senior leadership team, our hiring managers, and our Talent Acquisition team.
What you'll do
• Manages, motivates, develops and mentors a team of senior recruiters, recruiters, and recruiting coordinators.
• Manages the day-to-day operations and performance of the recruiting team.
• Measures, tracks, and reports on all qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate recruiting performance as well as requisition prioritization and business needs.
• Designs and directs the recruitment strategies, recruitment processes and procedures, and candidate assessment practices on a frequent basis.

TextNow is searching for Commercial/Ad-Tech in-house counsel (remote) to join its Legal Team and to help drive sales, customer acquisition, and navigate and problem solve legal risks and requirements. This is a new role that will work closely with our Product, Finance, Procurement, Sales, and Growth teams. We are looking for a candidate that is business minded, and has strong legal drafting experience and knowledge of U.S. and Canadian privacy laws, preferably in the ad-tech industry.
What You'll Do:
· Review, negotiate and draft a diverse range of transactional/commercial agreements including sales agreements, external agreements, contractor agreements, services agreements, software license agreements, supplier/procurement agreements, and advertising services agreements
· Work closely with product, sales, and growth teams to accelerate sales and customer acquisition
· Monitor and keep abreast of legal developments and legislative changes that may impact business and company goals
· Coordinate and assist with the development and revision of company policies to ensure corporate compliance with internal and external regulations, policies and legislation
· Ability to build strong relationships quickly and interact with all levels of the business with ease.
· Great judgment, attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated teaming ability to work well with, influence, and inform diverse groups, including peers and clients
· Strong work ethic and the highest level of integrity and business ethics
· Team attitude that no job is too big or too small
· Proven ability to address complex problems and business needs while reasonably balancing legal risks
· Provide legal support on ancillary legal matters related to corporate law, employment law, privacy, and other areas as such may arise
Requirements:
· Member of a Canadian or U.S. bar, with a preference for candidates licensed within U.S. and Canada;
· 3-6 years of experience negotiating and drafting a broad variety of commercial contracts, including DPAs, procurement and sales contracts;
· AdTech experience and knowledge of AdTech industry;
· Familiarity with online advertising roles and data privacy obligations associated with each (e.g. DSP, SSP, etc.);
· Knowledge of, and experience providing guidance on privacy laws (U.S. and Canada), especially in the context of commercial transactions;
· Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are highly desirable;
· This is a remote role, open to candidates within the U.S., and Canada, with a preference for candidates located in the Greater Toronto Area;
· Ability to travel to office (located in Waterloo, Ontario) as may be required, and across North America from time to time;
· Ability to multitask, complete projects and adjust to changing priorities.
