The Opportunity:

Responsible for maintaining all production equipment. Part of the production team if required. This role will also be required to assist with overnight engineering cover as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance tasks as part of planned maintenance or as directed by Team Leader
• Respond promptly to any unplanned maintenance issues or repairs to ensure minimum down time
• Demonstrate tenacity in approach to incident management and actively pursue investigations to identify root causes
• Understand importance of preventative maintenance schedules and prioritise activities to efficiently use resources
• Use initiative and confidently make sound decisions quickly based on knowledge, experience and best practice
• Effectively involve specialists to resolve complex issues
• Ensure asset management system is updated to ensure accurate records of maintenance activity
• Understand the importance of accurate and clear written records, maintaining documentation to a high standard
• Communicate and instils the importance of Health and Safety regulations and procedures to team members
• Supports the wider Production team to develop skills and knowledge by setting a positive example of continuous improvement and by setting quality standards
• Take personal responsibility to complete duties and engender team to follow
• Maintain operator skills and work flexibly with team to achieve required schedules
• Liaise with external/internal customers to advise on production issues which may impact on customer requirements
• Build positive relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods

Skills and Experience Required:
• Proven technical competence in both of the following: Mechanical/Electrical engineering
• Recognised qualification in at least one technical competence (electrical preferable)
• Experience of budget control, stock control and resource planning
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

Use InDesign and InCopy to:
• Quickly move content and design pages
• Craft compelling headlines, captions and story intros which grab our readers' attention
• Polish journalists' work, correcting spelling and grammar, rewriting copy to ensure the text fits the space, is logically structured and tells the whole story
• Ensure copy complies with legal and editorial guidelines and is factually correct, liaising with contributors as required
• Process a high volume of pages, accurately, to tight deadlines

You should have:
• Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Editorial experience in newspapers, magazines or other publications
• Good IT skills

It helps if you have:
• A relevant qualification (but experience counts just as much)
• Knowledge of the Editors' Code of Practice (but we'll train you if you don't)
• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign

Overall Objective

To manage workflow and all aspects of the commercial content in The Stylist Studios partnerships, from timelines and pre-sales involvement to relationship building and retention of advertisers through exceptional client service. You will need to be detail-focused, organized and driven by best-in-class reputation building with a keen interest in the co-branded space.

Key responsibilities:
• To act as the main client and liaison through the production and delivery of commercial campaigns. Representing Stylist at status calls, meetings, shoots; maintaining excellent client service throughout.
• Provide detailed, considered timelines, ensuring all deliverables can be completed to the highest standard.
• Create and maintain detailed and accurate P&Ls, and report back challenges to profitability. Agree budget allocation upon booking to ensure campaign is delivered on budget.
• Maintain internal relationships with relevant teams (sales, content, art, campaign delivery), to ensure campaigns are achievable within budget.
• Keep all relevant documentation up-to-date, and adapt process where required, along with the needs of the business. Report to the Head of Production on workload and workflow, maintaining excellent client service.
• Be confident in assisting creative teams in producing shoots (stills, video, audio) where required.
• Ensure campaigns are delivered on time and to the highest possible quality, reflecting Stylist’s brand DNA and tone of voice, whilst protecting client objectives.
• Communicate with art and content on a daily basis regarding timelines and live production. Have the ability to manage your own time and prioritise workloads.
• Be present in brainstorms where required, acting as the conduit between client and creative delivery. Present solutions relating to timeline and budget challenges.
• Be aware of industry shifts and competitors work and performance.
• Be passionate about the core pillars of Stylist.
