Position Purpose
Dickey Center Fellows work closely with senior leaders in
the Dickey Center on specific projects, conduct research and
analysis on key global and international issues, and serve as a
primary resource for selected finance and administrative functions.
The position assists the Dickey Center in engaging across the
Dartmouth community, strengthening an international perspective,
hosting events, and working on programs that address current issues
with engagement and problem-solving across global health,
international peace and security, and international development.
This is a one-year TERM position.

practices that include a fluidity between digital and analog
processes, video and/or moving image, and/or visual literacy will
blend well with the current strengths of the faculty.

the ability to mentor and support faculty, develop curricula,
construct syllabi, and assess student learning. They will bring
experience with and a deep commitment to supporting the needs of a

Key Accountabilities
Description
Works with the Director of Family Giving and the Executive Director
of the Dartmouth College Fund to establish annual Parents Fund
goals and program activities to ensure overall success of
Dartmouth’s fundraising efforts. Promotes philanthropy based on a
thorough understanding of the student and family experience at
Dartmouth through relationships with the Dean of College and other
offices on campus. Supports an integrated development organization
by collaborating with development departments—especially Principal
Giving, Leadership Giving, Gift Planning, and the Dartmouth College
Fund—as well as with academic and administrative offices.
Incorporates the needs of diverse internal and external
constituencies in program planning. Develops strategies for working
with diverse family constituencies including but not limited to
legacy families and extended family member (grandparents and
others). Monitors progress against goals and implements strategies
to ensure success in meeting goals. Keeps development management
informed on the status/progress of fund-raising activities.
Develops networks with colleagues at other Ivy League schools and
other peer institutions to keep current with best practices and
emerging trends in parents and grandparents annual giving. Collects
and analyzes data for the Parents Fund relative to its fundraising
performance, volunteer activity, group dynamics and other
institutional interests.

Develops and implements comprehensive cultivation, solicitation,
and stewardship strategies for approximately 50 households. Works
both independently and in concert with senior officers, Trustees,
other colleagues, and volunteers to implement strategies including
direct solicitation of gifts. Qualifies identified prospective
donors through individual visits, advises research department of
potential new prospects and assumes specific responsibility for
prospect activity in assigned region. Reviews and analyzes the
currently identified prospect pool to assess accuracy of research
and amends and expands profiles as appropriate. Coordinates with
internal colleagues to promote maximum involvement with and giving
to the Dartmouth Parents and Grandparents Fund. Works with
colleagues in the Dartmouth College Fund, Gift Planning,
Presidential Initiatives & Principal Gifts ( PIPG ), and in the
three professional schools to develop strategies for individual
donors. Devises individualized involvement/engagement strategies
for all benefactors using a “top-down” approach to maximize
philanthropy for Dartmouth. Schedules appointments and oversees the
preparation of necessary materials, including funding proposals,
briefings for senior officers and Trustees and scheduled
stewardship reports, for all assigned prospects utilizing campus
resources. Identifies donors to participate in on-campus and
regional events, committees or other programs that strengthen
institutional ties and relationships. Ensures stewardship is
provided to donors on existing endowment and current-use funds.
Responds quickly and effectively to strategic opportunities for
increased prospect engagement. Travels as necessary to visit with
prospects, often in tandem with senior officers of the
college.

Key Accountabilities
Description
Works with the Director of Family Giving and the Executive Director
of the Dartmouth College Fund to establish annual Parents Fund
goals and program activities to ensure overall success of
Dartmouth’s fundraising efforts. Promotes philanthropy based on a
thorough understanding of the student and family experience at
Dartmouth through relationships with the Dean of College and other
offices on campus. Supports an integrated development organization
by collaborating with development departments—especially Principal
Giving, Leadership Giving, Gift Planning, and the Dartmouth College
Fund—as well as with academic and administrative offices.
Incorporates the needs of diverse internal and external
constituencies in program planning. Develops strategies for working
with diverse family constituencies including but not limited to
legacy families and extended family member (grandparents and
others). Monitors progress against goals and implements strategies
to ensure success in meeting goals. Keeps development management
informed on the status/progress of fund-raising activities.
Develops networks with colleagues at other Ivy League schools and
other peer institutions to keep current with best practices and
emerging trends in parents and grandparents annual giving. Collects
and analyzes data for the Parents Fund relative to its fundraising
performance, volunteer activity, group dynamics and other
institutional interests.

Develops and implements comprehensive cultivation, solicitation,
and stewardship strategies for approximately 50 households. Works
both independently and in concert with senior officers, Trustees,
other colleagues, and volunteers to implement strategies including
direct solicitation of gifts. Qualifies identified prospective
donors through individual visits, advises research department of
potential new prospects and assumes specific responsibility for
prospect activity in assigned region. Reviews and analyzes the
currently identified prospect pool to assess accuracy of research
and amends and expands profiles as appropriate. Coordinates with
internal colleagues to promote maximum involvement with and giving
to the Dartmouth Parents and Grandparents Fund. Works with
colleagues in the Dartmouth College Fund, Gift Planning,
Presidential Initiatives & Principal Gifts ( PIPG ), and in the
three professional schools to develop strategies for individual
donors. Devises individualized involvement/engagement strategies
for all benefactors using a “top-down” approach to maximize
philanthropy for Dartmouth. Schedules appointments and oversees the
preparation of necessary materials, including funding proposals,
briefings for senior officers and Trustees and scheduled
stewardship reports, for all assigned prospects utilizing campus
resources. Identifies donors to participate in on-campus and
regional events, committees or other programs that strengthen
institutional ties and relationships. Ensures stewardship is
provided to donors on existing endowment and current-use funds.
Responds quickly and effectively to strategic opportunities for
increased prospect engagement. Travels as necessary to visit with
prospects, often in tandem with senior officers of the
college.

for family engagement annually. Advises on design and
implementation of a comprehensive marketing program to convey the

an internal client of the Dartmouth College Fund, works with the
Executive Director of the DCF to leverage direct mail, email, and
text capabilities of DCF operations, including segmentation of the

class-specific communications to strengthen legacy parent
relationship. Develops grandparents/family members’ communications

Our department is home to 24 tenure-track faculty members, and is

Class of 1982 Engineering and Computer Science Center which

entrepreneurs, digital artists, designers, the DALI Lab , and electronic
musicians. The new hire will have latitude to design new courses
and build out research areas. The CS Major is one of the fastest
growing majors in the university, and has vibrant MS and PhD

enhance the department’s existing graduate and undergraduate
Digital Arts programs and their intersections with departmental
strengths in Visual Computing, Music Computing,
Extended/Augmented/Virtual Reality, Robotics, and Machine Learning.
Applicants should have a track record of publications in a
CS-related field–such as creative computing, Generative Art/Music,
Graphics, or Robotics—as well as examples of work addressing
creative areas, including but limited to: AR/VR/XR, game design,

Our department is home to 24 tenure-track faculty members, and is

Class of 1982 Engineering and Computer Science Center which

musicians. The new hire will have latitude to design new courses
and build out research areas. The CS Major is one of the fastest
growing majors in the university, and has vibrant MS and PhD

supported by the Guarini
