The Internal Audit team plans and executes audit projects according to our risk-based audit plan by evaluating financial, compliance, operational, and IT processes and controls. We work with business functions in addressing risks and improving the control environment through timely and comprehensive audit work and tracking of remediation actions until completion.We are looking for an experienced Compliance Audit Leader to contribute to the ongoing development of the Internal Audit function and to ByteDance's efforts to enhance its risk management capabilities in support of the company's business objectives. The Head of Compliance Audit will build and mature the Compliance Audit team using innovative assurance methods to impact and influence positive business outcomes across products such as the Payments Platform, TikTok and TikTok Shop.Hybrid Work Model: We are back to the office with a hybrid work model, with employees working in the office three days per week.Responsibilities:1. Audit Program Development: Collaborate with the CAE and peers to build and implement an audit program and approach to perform standalone compliance audits (BSA\AML\CMS), as well as compliance audits integrated within operational audits. Such audits will need to be commensurate with the size and regulatory needs of ByteDance and the region where the product is offered.2. Compliance Risk Assessments: Perform risk assessments and build separate audit plans for regulated entities, as well as manage relationships with Boards and/or Audit Committees associated with Regulated entities in different regions3. Stakeholder Relationships: Work with business partners, including product, operations, compliance and technology leaders across the company to perform various assessments.4. Risk-Based Audit Plan: Building and maintaining an audit plan that includes an assessment of all relevant risk factors.5. Internal Audit Strategy: Enhance and mature ByteDance's Internal Audit strategy and roadmap as it relates to integrated and stand-alone compliance audits.6. Professional Practices: Contribute to the development of Professional Practices. Assist in the implementation of processes and tools supporting those practices.7. Team Management: Actively participate in recruiting, screening, hiring, developing, and mentoring auditors. Foster a collaborative team environment and strong group morale.8. Administrative Management: Lead multiple administrative functions including (but not limited to) scheduling of resources, management of co-sourced audit relationships, and oversight of budget.9. Professional Development: Continue to develop and expand knowledge of the audit profession, our industry, and ByteDance products and information through self-study, research, and continuing education efforts.1. Experience: Industry (internal audit) and consulting experience with a focus on audits associated with operations and compliance.2. Education: Bachelors in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or other related fields. Appropriate certifications in auditing are preferred (i.e. CMA, CIA, CPA, CISA etc.).3. Portfolio Management: Proven experience managing a portfolio of audits, concurrent oversight and execution of multiple projects.4. Integrated Audits: Experience leading integrated audits that address a combination of operational, compliance and technology objectives.5. Team Management: Experience managing a team remotely and in-person across different time zones.6. Professional Practices: Demonstrated experience, skills, and knowledge with IIA and ISACA Professional Practices and Standards.7. Communication Skills: Written/verbal skills and experience appropriate to executive and board level reporting and presentation.8.
