The Boeing Company is seeking an International Tax Project Manager to join the Tax Department in Chicago, IL.

In this role, the ideal candidate will collaborate with teammates in a hybrid work environment to support non-US operations as well as US tax reporting of non-US operations. This is a unique role for a mid-level tax professional with International Tax experience to work across and gain experience in multiple specialty areas. Also, the candidate will engage with business partners across the Boeing organization as you evaluate the implications of tax laws in a dynamic environment and ultimately deliver value to the enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:
• Serve as non-US regional tax adviser, including managing subsidiary compliance process and advising on corporate income and indirect tax consequences of new business operations or opportunities.
• Coordinate, support and review CIT / VAT filings with relevant stakeholders (external tax advisors, accounting) to ensure timely and accurate tax filings. Provide assistance with reviews and tax audits.
• Assist with tax planning projects to ensure a global tax-efficient structure.
• Provide support for various aspects of the Company's financial reporting requirements for income taxes (ASC 740).
• Provide support for the Company's US international compliance tax filings and develop new process efficiencies.
• Research new tax laws (international and domestic) and advise on implications to the Company; assist with developing processes and procedures to ensure compliance, mitigate risks and capture opportunities.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, accounting or business related
• 3+ more years of experience working corporate income tax
• 3+ years of experience in international tax

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
• Experience using domestic and international tax laws and regulation
• Public Accounting tax experience
• Highly motivated with a willingness to learn new areas and take on new responsibilities
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects

Typical Education & Experience:

International Tax Specialist (Bangkok Based)

The Opportunity:

As International Tax Specialist, you will be a member of Agoda’s Global Tax Team and will work for Agoda Services Co., Ltd in Bangkok. You will be part of the Finance Team (approximately 100 professionals) and support the Tax Team in handling international tax compliance matters and advisory work for the Agoda entities worldwide.

This role involves interaction with our US parent company, our international offices, business managers, functional teams and other finance and legal colleagues. Due to the rapid growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may also evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur.

In this Role, you’ll get to:
• Assist in reviewing tax returns prepared by external advisors (i.e. corporate income tax, withholding tax and indirect taxes) in foreign jurisdictions, with a primary focus on US indirect taxation
• Assist in identifying potential tax exposures and/or problem areas when reviewing tax compliance
• Liaise with both internal cross-functional teams and external advisors for tax advisory and tax compliance matters
• Support the tax advisory team in addressing tax implications of new products, tax law changes and/or expansion into new countries, and coordinating with external advisors (as appropriate) to develop and implement solutions for the organization
• Perform ad-hoc tax assignments

What you’ll Need to Succeed:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or any business related field
• Certified accountant/certified tax adviser/equivalent (a plus)
• Experience in using Avalara or Vertex would be a plus
• Open to flexible working hours with occasional needs to have meetings outside normal working hours
• 2 – 4 years of experience in tax advisory, tax compliance and tax computations/provisions
• Experience in dealing with Tax Authorities during tax audits/investigations
• Experience working in a MNC environment (a plus)
• Ability to work independently and productively
• Good analytical, communication & interpersonal skills with adaptability
• Good command of English (both in writing and speaking)
• Good computer literacy (MS Office package)

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the field and must possess a strong skillset in QuickBooks, high net worth, trusts and estates, S Corps, and partnerships. Qualifications:

Responsibilities

We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:
• Prepare income tax returns including U.S. Federal, state and local returns
• Prepare amended income tax returns
• Prepare a variety of tax related documents, including book to tax adjustments, state apportionment, estimate and extension calculations, and depreciation calculations
• Prepare international statutory provisions and the supporting workpapers
• Prepare tax adjustments for international tax returns and related compliance including correspondence and coordination with external service providers
• Participate in state audits including information review and correspondence with the states
• Work independently with state and local taxing authorities to resolve notices and other correspondence
• Perform special projects and related research to apply changing tax law to Enterprise operations, as needed
