Role Overview

We're currently seeking a Wealth Advisor to join our esteemed team at Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment Management, located in Salt Lake City. As a Wealth Advisor, you'll work closely with a Senior Wealth Advisor, supporting them in managing client relationships and fostering business growth.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for a designated book of clients, ensuring exceptional service and timely communication.
• Conduct client portfolio review meetings independently, following a comprehensive training period.
• Collaborate with the Senior Wealth Advisor to provide financial planning advice and support to clients.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the client experience and identify opportunities for growth and referrals.
• Assist in the preparation of investment proposals and support new business development initiatives.
• Manage complex client requests and maintain proactive communication with clients.
• Participate in client events and prospective client meetings as needed.
• Contribute to ongoing projects and initiatives to support the overall growth and success of the team.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field from an accredited institution; CFP, CPA, and/or CFA designation preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry with a focus on wealth advisory client service.
• Strong financial planning acumen and the ability to analyze complex financial situations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a confident and articulate demeanor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, financial planning platforms (e.g., eMoney), and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
• FINRA Series 7 license preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and prioritize tasks to meet goals.
• Ethical integrity, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to professional growth and development.

Salary

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. Actual salary offer will be commensurate with education, experience, skills, geographic location, and market data alignment.

What You'll Do:

• Transition your client book of business to the firm together with our best-in-class Client Transition Team
• Work with clients to gather data to define their financial planning and investment needs.
• Analyze client financial situations and be able to advise on investment strategy, tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, stock options, charitable giving strategies, insurance and risk management, and more.
• Identify client issues, explain financial planning concepts, clarify goals & objectives, and prepare financial plans.
• Design, implement, and monitor long-term investment strategies and appropriate asset allocations.
• Work with first and third-party service providers across tax, trust & estate, and insurance specialties.
• Advise the Product team on your or your clients pain points to improve the platform.

Who You Are:

Must Have
• 10+ years of investment advisory experience
• An existing client book of business that you actively advise today
• Certified to work as an Investment Adviser Representative (Series 65, Series 7 + 66, or equivalent)
• Excited by more ownership and the opportunity to have a meaningful impact in the Fintech industry
• Thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment while handling several deadlines simultaneously

Nice to have
• Past professional experience at a technology company
• BS or MS in an analytical or technical degree
• Experience working with clients whose assets are in excess of $1M
• Depth of knowledge in multiple areas of financial planning
• Experience working with financial planning software
• Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, communication and social skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and take immediate ownership of your work allowing you to think big, adapt quickly, and act fast

POSITION SUMMARY
The Wealth Management Associate will report directly to the Managing Director and play a crucial role in supporting the wealth management process. In this capacity, the Wealth Management Associate, will assist the Managing Director by overseeing tasks related to client relationships.
