About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Sales Executive, you will:

The Tax Analyst is a skilled tax professional in Thomson Reuters Software... Development Team. The Tax Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining an understanding of the following: Complex tax concepts ONESOURCE products ONESOURCE development platforms PC operating systems and user interface guidelines. The Tax Analyst has a direct impact on the efficiency, intuitiveness, accuracy, and documentation of assigned ONESOURCE Tax products.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
• Collect, analyze, and prioritize requirements from taxing authorities, marketing, support, customers, and other sources all in an effort to enhance the most reliable tax software in the industry.
• Assist in projects including, but not limited to: State & Federal projects
• Writing applicable online help
• Coordinate work with other departments
• Ensure and implement consistency standards
• Assist in the design and development of new projects outside the core application
• Ensure quality products by providing test programs for technical accuracy and cosmetic appearance
• Develop and maintain testing documentation books
• Create program change requests, update control sheets, and resolve issues with Systems Engineers
• Review and correct projects to ensure they are accurate, clear, and concise
• Suggest and implement product enhancements
• Provide technical assistance and client support, including, but not limited to:
• Answering technical questions
• Responding to client requests and inquiries
• Responding to project escalations
• Research, analyze, interpret, and document tax laws and regulations over a wide range of industries in complex and demanding jurisdictions
• Anticipate and assess the impact of proposed regulatory developments to stay ahead of changes in laws and regulations impacting applications
• Correspond with tax authorities on complex and contradictory matters
• Research, respond and resolve client issues in partnership with Customer Support
• Contribute to the development of requirements for tax application features and functionality in partnership with Product Management

Technical /Professional Skills & Competencies:
Essential Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of tax accounting laws and regulations
• Ability to work and react independently
• Ability to estimate project budget, assess due dates and follow through on timely completion
• Ability to consistently meet rigid and recurring deadlines
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, including ability to draft white papers on tax and/or technical subjects
• Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Intermediate to advance software skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Access)
• Ability to work and learn independently with minimal supervision
• Written and spoken fluency in English
Desired Skills:
• Sales and Use, 1040, 1120, or 1065 tax return preparation experience preferred
• Fluency in languages other than English
Education/ Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• MBA or CPA/Chartered Tax Adviser and/or computer science or related field preferred.
