GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Title IX Intake Coordinator & Prevention Educator reports to the AVP for Intercultural and Community Engagement & Title IX Coordinator, who has primary responsibility for the administration of the relevant institutional policies, association, federal, and state regulations. The Title IX Intake Coordinator & Prevention Educator works collaboratively with various offices at the University to ensure compliance with Title IX, the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, and other related local, state, and federal regulations. The Title IX Intake Coordinator & Prevention Educator serves as the first point of contact for Title IX & Civil Rights reports. In this role, the Title IX Intake Coordinator & Prevention Educator manages the coordination of supportive measures and conducts preliminary assessment interviews for Title IX & Civil Rights cases. The Title IX Intake Coordinator & Prevention Educator also assists in the implementation of prevention education opportunities for the Tiffin University campus. This includes but is not limited to training for athletic teams, student workshops, large-scale awareness events, prevention tabling, etc.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Title IX Intake Coordinator Responsibilities (Primary Role)
• Serves as the first point of contact for Title IX & Civil Rights reports.
• Assist the Title IX Coordinator/Deputy Coordinator in scheduling and conducting prompt, equitable and impartial supportive measures/preliminary assessment meetings in response to complaints of sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, gender related violence including stalking and intimate partner violence, and protected class discrimination, harassment, and related retaliation.
• Prepare timely and accurate preliminary assessment summary reports for the Title IX Coordinator/Deputy Coordinator to review in accordance with the Title IX & Civil Rights Policy.
• Assess the need for supportive measures upon the receipt of a Title IX & Civil Rights report and determine reasonable and appropriate supportive measures to ensure equal access to the University's educational programs.
• Coordinate the implementation of supportive measures for all parties, including Complainants and Respondents, during the preliminary assessment, formal grievance process, and informal resolution process.
• Assist with conducting formal investigations into complaints and informal resolutions.
• Assist in case management, including case file organization, case correspondence, data tracking, and weekly data reports.
• Collaborate and consult with internal and external partners including legal counsel, investigators, neighboring institutions, advocates/advocacy centers, and law enforcement.
• Assist with data collection and reporting for yearly reports such as Clery and Ohio Department of Higher Education's Changing Campus Culture Report.
Prevention Educator Responsibilities (Secondary Role)
• Assist with the implementation of Tiffin University's Comprehensive Prevention Plan in accordance with the Ohio Department of Higher Education's Changing Campus Culture initiative.
• Develop and conduct training for students and employees relevant to the work of the Office for Equity, Access, & Opportunity with special emphasis on athletic team training and student employee training.
• Assist with the supervision of the EAO Ambassadors and oversee the management of the EAO Resource Center, including but not limited to the Dragon Food Pantry and Lactation Room.
• Assist with student prevention and educational outreach events related to The Office for Equity, Access, and Opportunity (EAO) and the Center for Intercultural Excellence (CIE), such as student workshops, large-scale awareness events, and prevention tabling.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS.ABILITIES FOR THE JOB

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and two (2) or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent judgment with the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong skills in the areas of conflict resolution, problem solving techniques, interviewing and investigation.
• Skill in writing concise, logical analytical reports to convey complex challenges.
• Ability to maintain neutrality and work under stress.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and success in working with diverse constituencies, both domestic and international, to support an inclusive campus environment.
• Strong and effective interpersonal skills; the ability to listen well and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for individual needs.
