Job Description
Responsibilities include providing general financial aid counseling to undergraduate and graduate students and their families. Additionally, may be asked to conduct financial aid workshops for special interest groups on and off campus, as needed. Job Description
The College of Agriculture at Tennessee State University invites applicants to apply for the position of Assistant Professor of Agricultural Leadership and Policy. ABD applications accepted; however, the degree must be conferred by August 31, 2023.

This position will be responsible for the following:

Develop, deliver, and evaluate agricultural leadership and policy education for producers, formal and nonformal educators, and 4-H, FFA, and Junior MANRRS Youth.

Recruit, retain, and develop agriculture students through agricultural and extension education, business, nonprofit, government, and community partnerships.

Advise the College of Agriculture Student Ambassadors.

Teach undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of Agricultural Leadership/Management and Public Policy (including off campus and online)

Recruit for and advise students in the Online Masters program in Agricultural Education and the PhD in Agricultural Sciences with a Concentration in Agricultural Education.

Develop and supervise student internships.

Develop a program of scholarly contribution through extramural funding, publications in appropriate peer-reviewed journals and presentations at regional and national research conferences

Participate in service activities in the community, department, college, and university.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate in Agricultural or Educational Leadership, Agricultural Education or Communication or closely related discipline.

Demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication in and about agriculture
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in agricultural leadership and public policy
Demonstrated experiences in youth/college student development
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service
