• Keep reception area clean and neat.
• Know locations of all outlets and services.
• Answer phone properly and promptly giving name of restaurant and identifying self.
• Be familiar with menu items and daily specials, including basic knowledge of food and ingredients.
• Assist guests in finding rooms, conference rooms, meeting rooms and banquets when necessary.
• Know what is happening on property in order to assist guests as needed.
• Assure smooth transition at shift change remaining on duty until relief is present.
• Collect and inspect all menus, discarding all worn ones and then replacing them.
• Strong menu knowledge about the offerings in the restaurant(s).
• Keep Reservation Book up to date and accurate at all times
• Responsible for the use of a bank when needed.
• Be flexible, reliable and available for scheduling due to business demands.
• Assist with bussing tables, pouring water and resetting tables as needed
• Assist managers as necessary with light administrative responsibilities.
Experience/Education
High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Job Purpose
Juniper, the Beautiful and Brand New Rooftop Restaurant, located atop AC Hotel by Marriott Greenville Downtown is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager.
The purpose of the Food & Beverage Manager is to oversee, control and administer all Food & Beverage outlets maintaining and exceeding AURO Hotels and Brand Standards in each outlet.
Essential Job Functions
Understand and apply all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests at all times.
In the event of an accident, get medical attention if necessary and contact GM or MOD. Responsible for making sure a Workers Comp or General Liability claim is filed within 24?hours.
• Maintain an organized and efficient Food & Beverage Department.
• Determine, communicate and monitor achievement standards and standards of performance on a timely basis.
• Handle disciplinary action and counseling sessions as necessary.
• Work in a fast paced and customer service oriented environment; perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
• Help oversees operation of all food and beverage operations and kitchens.
• Knowledgeable of computer terminal, POS System, Delphi, and Time and Attendance
• Attend BEO, Staff and Food & Beverage Meetings.
• Handle accounting for all purchases and inventory.
• Analyze and monitor day?to?day operation reports, monthly and yearly financial statements, labor costs.
• Perform Special projects as necessary for the General Manager and / or Resource Center.
• Communicate with other Managers regarding internal events.
• Handle planning and execution of hotel sponsored events as required.
• Taste food and beverage products from all areas, to ensure quality and consistency.
• Handle customers who are satisfied or dissatisfied with any service provided in the F&B area.
• Oversee all formal or informal disciplinary action regarding any F&B associate.
• Monitor F&B Computer POS systems; Assists in monitoring of cashier procedures. ? Accountable for beverage cost for outlets.
• Work job responsibilities of associates when business dictates.
• Handle Manager on Duty Responsibilities as required.
• Maintain communication with the Executive Chef on developing and creating menus, culinary organization and procedures.
Experience / Education
Minimum of Five (5) years Food & Beverage and Hotel experience. Must have previous management in a property of similar size and nature;
must have Food & Beverage product and equipment knowledge.
