WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree
• Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience
• Proven work experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
• 2+ years of experience developing machine learning models using Python, Spark, and/or AI-ML Tools and packages such as Amazon SageMaker, AUTOML, AWS AI-ML Services or AI-ML Toolkits and software.
• Must have strong data visualization skills including experience with Tableau or Amazon Quicksight.
• Expected to formulate questions that will help the business and then proceed in solving them.
• In-depth understanding of database structure principles.
• Must be able to work with engineering teams to source the right data, evaluate system performance.
• Experience with one or more: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Predictive Analytics, and Hadoop/Spark distributed processing.

The Data Scientist translates business problems to insights and codes solutions using the following typical workflow; data extraction, cleansing, feature engineering, exploratory data analysis, model selection/creation, hyper-parameter tuning, model interpretation, model retraining, business process and/or system implementations, high level proof of concept and trials, visualization, deployment to production, post deployment ML ops monitoring/diagnosis/resolutions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Transforming existing code base to Python/SQL Databricks solution with continued maintenance.
• Proactively evaluates internal request needs within transformation to design an architecture tailored to the necessary reporting and daily analytic workflows.
• Integrate GeoSpatial analytics to consolidate platforms and streamline processes to reduce cycle times of reporting.
• Responsible for our own forecasts via machine learning to move off existing baseline trends.
• Research and investigation of potential product enhancements, identification of product owners and necessary sources.
• Coding proficiency required in at least one data science language (Python, R, Scala, and SQL), as well as expertise with modern ML packages and libraries (SciKitLearn, Pandas, PyTorch, TidyVerse, Tensorflow, Keras, Shiny, and/or AutoML tools).
• Ability to organize and crisply communicate insights from analysis of large data sets in an intuitive manner to non-technical business partners.

The Data Scientist II is responsible for discovering information hidden in vast amounts of data through design, development and implementation of optimal Prescriptive, Predictive and Descriptive analytics solutions. Individual must have extensive knowledge of Statistical Models, Data Mining, Machine Learning and proven experience in building custom algorithms to deliver insights. Individual must have proven programming competency in advanced Data Science toolkits such as SAS.
