Atlassian is revolutionizing the software development industry and helping teams all around the world like Nasa, Nike, Pixar and Tesla to advance humanity through the power of software & collaboration. We're looking for a dynamic sales leader to further develop and lead our Enterprise Advocate organization in the Americas region. With over 200,000 customers worldwide, our global Enterprise Advocate team engages Atlassian's largest customers, representing Atlassian's enterprise product portfolio, including JIRA, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Jira Align.
Our non-traditional sales team is responsible for the expansion of enterprise products into the above-mentioned customers. As a 2nd line sales leader, you'll continue to develop a comprehensive sales and account engagement strategy that prioritizes important performance measures for your team of four 1st line Sales Managers-achieving sales OKR's and revenue targets.
You will compile and review quantitative sales data and react to changing trends or new competitive threats and opportunities. Success will be dependent on your ability to work in close coordination with our Sales Operations team, our Marketing and Channel sales organizations (including external Solutions Partners), and other important partners across Atlassian's management team.
We are looking for someone who leads, collaborates, and inspires teams inside and outside of our direct sales organization. You must be achievement oriented and have an ability to collaborate with Atlassian Solution Partners, business partners, and of course, customers. Atlassian is a TEAM first organization, and you must be someone who can contribute in an environment that prides itself on its open, honest, and supportive culture. Before anything else, you are someone who wants to challenge the traditional sales model and improve sales processes in a supportive, transparent environment. Running the same play that worked at your prior company is most likely not going to work at Atlassian. You will play an important part in helping us build the next generation of our enterprise business model.
The Enterprise Sales team was established in the summer of 2014. We have worked in sales and management roles in well-established Fortune 500 companies as well as exciting startups. We share a commitment to reach our numbers and ambition to make our team successful. However, above all, we believe in the Atlassian values and want to use them as our compass in building a revolutionary sales model.
Based in the US, you will report to the Head of Sales, Americas.
What we're looking for
• 7+ years of sales leadership experience in a B2B technical sales environment
• 2+ years of experience managing 1st line Sales Managers
• Experience leading direct sales teams of ~20 sales professionals
• Experience developing go-to-market strategies and B2B SaaS sales plans
• Experience leading strategic customer relationships and sales opportunities (e.g. 6-figure transactions w/ existing accounts)
• Experience coaching individual contributor and manager performance against well defined expectations
• Experience leading across a variety of teams, including SalesOps, Enablement, SEs, Renewals, and XDRs
• Experience working with a channel sales organization
• Experience using a modern CRM to develop team performance metrics
• Experience hiring and onboarding sales representatives and sales managers
• Experience building territories in the Americas market
• In-depth knowledge of local (AMER) tech sales markets
• History of meeting performance targets
Nice-to-haves
• Experience selling complex SaaS solutions to Dev/IT/Agile audiences
• Experience in a "non-traditional" sales environment (i.e. uniquely customer-centric, collaborative, account-based selling methods)
• Experience conveying the value behind migrating from on-prem/server/perpetual licensing to a cloud-based SaaS platform
• Experience working within both startup and mature corporate environments
• Familiarity with Atlassian's industry-leading ecosystem and flywheel expansion growth model
Compensation

As our dedicated Privacy Technical Program Manager for all-things related to incidents, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the intersection of privacy and technology at Atlassian. Privacy is a rapidly evolving sector, and the collaboration between privacy, incident management, crisis management and engineering is increasingly important. This role forms the bridge between the legal and technical worlds, empowering privacy to be a foundational component in our incident response process. Our customers expect and deserve a cloud software that is compliant with industry standards and puts their privacy first. In this role you will lead an effort that ensures we have a continuous and comprehensive view into our privacy posture and ability to respond when the unexpected happens. You'll drive projects to create and evolve tools and processes that will make incident response an automated, well-oiled machine.
Successful candidates will have a solid track record of program and project management and SaaS software development and will have demonstrated excellent leadership, along with superior organizational and communication skills in leading teams and programs to deliver successful outcomes. In addition, the right candidate will possess learning agility in the privacy sector (with our legal team's help, of course), experience in incident management, and an understanding of business strategy, product direction and technical architecture, so they can make decisions to accelerate initiatives at any level of depth.
Minimum Qualifications:
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience on software teams as a development manager or TPM
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience leading projects spanning multiple teams, covering all of the following
• Accountable for creating and driving the schedule
• Making critical and timely decisions to keep projects on track
• Tracking and managing risks and dependencies
• Communication to stakeholders
• Experience with achieving privacy compliance such as GDPR and CCPA
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to exercise technical judgment in solving software engineering challenges
• Experience with SaaS on public cloud
• Experience in software development in one or more general-purpose programming languages
• Experience with agile processes
• Experience building tools, dashboards, and automation to increase transparency and reduce toil
• Experience in incident management
