DUTIES
• Responsible for the health and safety of all manufacturing employees on the site through the creation, enforcement, and enhancement of appropriate safety policies and regulations.
• Facilitate and execute the transfer of best practices across production lines, plants, and sites to ensure that performance improvements are leveraged to their full benefit.
• Develop and execute continuous improvement plans for the plant by working closely with the Continuous Improvement Team. Take ownership of the 12-month pipeline of savings projects that are driven by the plant.
• Responsible for the oversight of the maintenance of the plant and all of the equipment, as well as the improvement in preventive and predictive maintenance techniques to improve uptime and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
• Accountable for financial results in all departments. Expected to drive detailed focus on financial impact of plant performance and key process indicators (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
• Work closely with Project Engineering to ensure that capital investments are appropriate and executed correctly to provide the expected benefit at the plant. Create or adjust standard operating procedures and job hazard analyses as required to equipment/process changes.
• Work closely with R&D and Process Engineering to industrialize new products in keeping with the overall scope and objective for the product launch plan. Ensure that all aspects of safety and process control are in place for a successful launch on the shop floor.
• Allocate human resources toward production targets and schedules to safely achieve the targeted levels of productivity.
• Develop the organizational hierarchy that ensures proper span of control at all levels of the organization and create metrics that drive appropriate accountability at all levels of the organization.
• Create, maintain, and execute succession planning at all leaderships levels of the plant to insure smooth transitions and clear paths of progression for high-potential employees. Create individual development plans for high potential employees that allow them to successfully grow into higher levels of leadership.
• Work closely with HR to develop, implement, and improve recruiting, hiring, and training processes and procedures. Ensure that all new hires are properly trained with regard to safety, processing procedures, and company policies.

EXPERIENCE

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred, plus ten years’ previous experience in a manufacturing environment and seven years in a leadership role is preferred but if you’ve worked as a Production Manager or managed daily operations in a plant environment, you’re Trex material for sure.

Have experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility? You’ll fit in just fine.

Inventory Accuracy
• Accurately manage the disposition of spare parts in and out of the storeroom.

Inventory Management

Inventory Transactions
• Perform various J.D. Edwards transactions as they apply to the receiving and movement of inventory.

Receiving Functions
• Must have a firm understanding of the importance of accuracy when receiving product both physically and electronically.
• Must act with a sense of exactness, care, and urgency as it applies to the receiving and storage of material.
• Proactively identify, report, and mitigate receiving issues and concerns.

Experience And Education
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be competent in material handling.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office programs such as, Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to learn and use J.D. Edwards to process inventory transactions

SALARY

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000. This is not inclusive of any additional compensation in the form of commission, bonus or other benefits that this position may be eligible for. Base pay will be determined on an individual candidate basis and a number of factors such as, years of experience, education, skill level, market data for similar roles in similar locations and internal equity among peers

Responsibilities

General Line Product Manager will purchase, price, and market a group of general line products for warehouse and customer sales. General Line Product Manager develops and implements sales strategies, new products, promotions, and conducts sales presentations on assigned general line products. General Line Product Manager will monitor and maintain acceptable inventory levels, turnover, and margins to maximize branch profitability. Solicits direct and warehouse sales on all general line products. Work closely with location manager or location sales manager in promotion of assigned and new products. Maintain direct control over replenishment, pricing and inventory of assigned products. General Line Product Managers change prices as necessary and maintain catalogue price pages. Develop annual marketing plan incorporating vendor, division and product promotions. Maintain technical product knowledge. General Line Product Managers determine product market potential. Identify and evaluate competitive products, new markets, new product opportunities, and competitors. Work closely with division merchandising in selection of suppliers. Maintain customer relationships, quote prices, sell additional products. Assist operations manager in warehousing assigned products. Make presentations at dealers' meetings, sales meetings, builder shows, etc. Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function. Working conditions are an office environment with minimal physical exertion.

Preferred Qualifications: Effective communication skills. Requires proficiency in utilizing computer software applications necessary for performing job responsibilities. Typically more than seven (7) years in building products industry or general line sales.

As a member of our Engineering team, you’ll be helping us by maximizing the productivity and efficiency of our facilities.

DUTIES
• Participate in site safety programs designed to assure safe working conditions and eliminate any workplace accident.
• Develop and execute changes to PLC controls where necessary.
• Maintain the documentation for the electrical panels and PLC controls for each process.
• Support capital engineering projects for new equipment, including panel design, coordination with vendors for construction, PLC programming and new equipment startup.
• Be involved with PLC, drive, instrumentation, and electrical installations.
• Develop and review procedures and provide training for others to handle routine PLC control or electrical issues during normal off-hours.
• Provide off-shift troubleshooting if necessary.
• Conduct and maintain the necessary contacts for ensuring that PLC controls and equipment are current and that the necessary spare parts are available.

Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, along with experience in controls design and programming is required. If you’ve worked as a system engineer or a process control technician, you’re Trex material for sure.

Have experience in programing and electrical panel design? You’ll fit in just fine.
