Summary:

The Resident Director is a full-time, live-in staff member responsible for providing day-to-day Department of Residence Life functions, administration, management, and staff supervision in a student-centered university-owned campus residence hall of 200-225 residents or apartment area of approximately 350-380 residents. Evening and weekend availability are essential and expected. Residency required in on-site apartment furnished as a condition of the job.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Hire, train, and supervise 5-9 Resident Assistants and several other student desk or support staff. Address resident developmental needs and ensure that quality customer service is consistently and effectively provided to residents and university guests. Assist in departmental surveys and benchmarking efforts.
• Develop and support educational, social, and community building programs and engagement activities which involve and engage residents in their diverse communities. Collaborate with faculty and staff in development or enhancement of specific Living Learning Communities and other thematic based academic partnerships or residential lifestyle options which enhance retention. Liaison to academic program stakeholders or managers of campus auxiliary or administrative units located in-area. May advise Resident Housing Association or community specific sub-group.
• Oversee developmentally-based student conduct process within area, in conjunction with Dean of Students Office staff; address policy infractions, contractual problems, or situational crises as needed. Advise and counsel diverse residents or student organizations on a variety of developmental issues as may be needed or directed.
• Facilitate and assist in managing Residence Life facilities needs of residents (e.g., maintenance work orders, public space preparations, damage assessments, cleaning staff, resolve policy questions, etc.). Assist with resident management operations (e.g., initiating and tracking space changes, making resident space assignments, annual room selection and re-selection process, potential visitor and summer conference housing, etc.). Work cooperatively with Residence Life staff in coordinating move-in/move-out processes each term in assigned hall or apartment area.
• Provide regular administrative presence in respective area. Share responsibility with other professional staff for nightly rotating administrative on-call coverage for all housing areas.
• Participate in on-going recruitment of prospective residents by coordinating campus visits/tours, Preview Days, Orientation activities, etc. Assist in developing Residence Life marketing, promotional, and informational materials, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field.
• One or more years of Residence Life or other collegiate administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in appropriate field; copy of all academic transcripts required prior to finalization of offer of employment.
• Two or more years of experience in Residence Life beyond undergraduate student staff level (ex: 2 years of graduate school or full-time experience).
• Experience with transfer, graduate, and/or international students.

Summary:
Under general supervision by the Vice Chancellor, the person in this position is responsible for carrying out administrative operations of the Office of Student Affairs. Summary:
The AC is accountable for meeting established headcount, FTE, and tuition-revenue goals for a tuition-driven institution by working to manage the entire life cycle in alignment with accountabilities and conversion benchmarks. • The AC works closely, collaboratively, and well with all in the office, the unit, and the three divisions of the universities - the Chancellor's division, and academic and student affairs - and select external schools, businesses, community organizations, and other current/potential partners. Under the supervision and guidance of the DA/ADA, the AC may be asked to create and manage lasting partnerships and positive constituent relationships or projects. The AC will learn how to help identify, and steward innovative recruitment and outreach partnerships. The AC may be asked to be present and visible in select communities.
• The AC participates in efforts to hire and support staff and commits to growing as an EM professional. The AC hones presentation and storytelling skills, and adheres to standards that give each prospective student (their family and those that serve them) optimal customer service in every (on- and off-campus, or online) interaction, from awareness through the drop-add date. The AC may also supervise student workers, and, as such should meet regularly with them to review individual, and teamwork activities and progress. The AC will help the ADA/DA focus on new staff welcome, orientation, and onboarding. As such, the AC works to stay current with university activities, and the accomplishments of alumni, faculty, students, and staff; as well as, local, regional, national, and global issues that impact EM.

Summary:
In addition to many other duties, supervises the review of all graduation applications, processes and sends out graduation reviews and follow-ups if degree/certificate requirements are not fulfilled, awards/records degrees, and coordinates all diploma orders.

• Working with appropriate supervisor(s), responsible for the leadership of graduation staff, working with degree audit issues, and focusing on excellent service, student retention, and student degree completion.
• Provides information concerning degree requirements to students and faculty. This includes written and verbal communication to resolve degree problems.
• Responsible for assisting in the interpretation and communication of degree audit reports to students and faculty, as well as double-checking the accuracy of all student degree audits in comparison to the applicable catalog of record for each student.
• Coordinates the entire student petition process. This includes receiving, evaluating, and processing undergraduate, graduate, and miscellaneous petitions that impact any type of student record. Also, develops and maintains policy and procedure documentation related to the graduation process.
• Provides backup for other staff in the Office of Records and Registration as necessary.
• Assist with maintenance of document imaging (including the scanning, verifying, and retention of short-term and permanent student documents).

Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school graduation or equivalent.
2. The Extra Help Grants and Contracts Associate position is responsible for working in coordination with the Director of Research & Sponsored Programs Post-Award to oversee the administration of sponsored programs financial activity, including state and federal financial aid grants and loans.
