Responsibilities:
80% Manage park visits for participant enrollment and follow-up appointments
• Visit various parks across St. Paul and Minneapolis to recruit, enroll, and complete follow-up appointments for study participants.
• Maintain participant records and files, documenting participant enrollment and study activity in REDCap and FileMaker databases.
• Perform technical procedures related to the study visits; set up new physical activity monitors and download data from used physical activity monitors.
20% Other study duties
• Assist with study recruitment and retention activities
• Schedule participants for screening, baseline, and follow-up visits
• Conduct participant surveys
Work arrangements:
Typically, three to four days per week will be spent conducting participant visits at various park and recreation centers. Expected hours on park visit days are 11:30 am – 7:30 pm. Job Responsibilities
Collegiate Financial Services (50%)
• Prepare, review, and reconcile financial documents; ensure documents are complete, appropriate, and accurate. Determine allowable and unallowable expenese and appropriate use of funding source.
• Research, analyze, and resolve/respond to financial transaction inquiries related to policy and procedure; escalate issues as appropriate.
• Accounts Payable; process vouchers across the college through the enterprise financial system (EFS); review, identify accounts payable issues; work with department preparers, initiators, approvers, finance professionals, and vendors to resolve accounts payable issues.
• Deposits; process deposits (cash, check).
• Direct entry of requsitions in the enterprise financial system (EFS).
• Oversee, evaluate, and modify the FSO file systems (electonic and hard-copy); ensure organization and accuracy of files. Perform file audits to ensure documentation compliance and retention requirements are met.
• Work as part of team to monitor, coordinate, and delegate daily workflow of centralized/shared email inbox.
• Provide oversight, training, and guidance to FSO student staff.
Billing Specialist (30%)
• Initiate and process domestic and international billing for assigned units within the college.
• Provide back-up support for scholarship processing including UM Foundation billing
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of scholarship processes; follow-up with Office of Student Finance (OSF), FSO staff, CEHD Unit staff as necessary to ensure timely processing and disbursement.
Collegiate Finance Cluster Resource (20%)
• Assist DCA with PCard and TCard responsibilities. Weekly monitoring of PCard and TCard transactions, review card exception requests, and communicate with cardholders regarding compliance and timely reconciliations.
• College-wide resource to department finance preparer/liaison staff; coordinate, prepare content, and present at monthly meetings and training events.
• Coordinate and conduct orientation, training, and direction to preparer/initiator staff and student employees related to CEHD financial cluster EFS activities, processes, and procedures.
• Participate in process and procedure review and enhancement; provide recommendations and solutions to CEHD FSO leadership.
• Identify and resolve gaps in training and knowledge among college-wide preparers/iniatiros/approvers related to CEHD financial cluster activity; escalate to CEHD FSO leadership as appropriate.
