• Provide leadership for the University of Northern Colorado research compliance program. (10%)
• Oversee and guide research compliance operations and programs, which include activities involving: human subjects (IRB), live vertebrate animals (IAUCUC), class 3b and class 4 lasers, human, animal, and plant pathogens and biologically derived toxins, recombinant and synthetic nucleic acid molecules, radioactive materials and x-ray devices, Controlled Unclassified Information, Conflict of Interest, and other regulatory compliance areas that may emerge over time. (60%)
• Serve as the Research Conflict of Interest manager. (5%)
• Serve as a point of contact for regulatory matters of research compliance, and reports directly to the Director of Research and Sponsored Programs. The Director of Research Compliance (or his/her delegate) may be appointed by the Associate Vice President for Research (AVPR) to serve as voting or nonvoting member of the Institutional Review Board, the Institutional Biosafety Committee, the Radiation Safety Committee, the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee and/or other research compliance committees (5%)
• Provide infrastructure required for effective research compliance programs, Conflict of Interest, and management of controlled unclassified research materials that is fully integrated into a centralized research administrative structure. (5%)
• Form alliances with other academic institutions to stimulate continuous improvement in regulatory compliance activities (1%)
• Work with key stakeholders to develop and evolve URC operations to meet federal, state and local regulatory requirements while growing research at UNC. (1%)
• Drive collaboration and communication with Associate Deans for Research, researchers, and the UNC community to foster research integrity. (1%)
• Directly and indirectly manage staff in the division while encouraging professional development and personal growth for staff. (1%)
• Manage relationships with key clients such as federal sponsors, regulatory agencies, UNC legal counsel, media relations, environmental health and safety, and others. (1%)
• Provide leadership and direction for strategic planning initiatives for all areas of research regulatory compliance. (1%)

Position Description:
The University of Northern Colorado, School of Nursing is searching for a full-time, contract-renewable, Instructor/Lecturer in Nursing, who has experience teaching in pre-licensure nursing programs. Ideally, the candidate for this position would be able to provide support for nursing fundamentals and medical/surgical clinical and laboratory courses and teach other courses in the pre-licensure program consistent with their nursing expertise. The Transfer Advising and Transition Services team serves as post-admission support for transfer students and coordinates activities for transfer students in collaboration with the Academic and Student Affairs divisions. As such, the Transfer Advising and Transition Services team seeks to engage transfer students with university resources and campus life activities that increase a sense of belonging on campus. The Transfer Advising and Transition Services team is a new functional area that will focus on supporting the integration of transfer students into the campus community during the first 2-3 semesters as a Bear.

The Coordinator of Transfer Transition will provide leadership and oversight of the transition needs of incoming transfer students. The coordinator will collaborate with colleagues within Student Academic Success, including the Advising Network, and other campus stakeholders to build capacity and serve as a central point of contact for transitioning students to support their onboarding for confidently accessing the resources they need through referrals and warm handoffs.

The coordinator is establishing new services that had not centrally existed at UNC. Long and near-term duties include:

Critical areas of focus for year one of Transfer Advising Transition Services implementation.
• Collaborate with academic affairs and student support units to develop and implement a seamless transfer transition advising and onboarding experience that connects students with UNC resources, helps them to adapt to UNC, improves their knowledge of UNC, and fosters their engagement with the campus and community. • Provide problem-solving guidance to transfer students. (20%)
• Create content and coordinate with the communication specialist to maintain the website with standards for usability and design. (10%)
• Create and implement a social media and marketing plan for program awareness and promotion through coordination of branding and messaging with other communications from UNC. (15%)
• Advocate for and promote transfer student sense of belonging and community by working with key campus stakeholders for advice, needs, and best practices. (15%)

Core Functions of the position.
• Assist Associate Director of Events & Orientation and Assistant Director of Transfer Initiatives within Admissions to plan & execute Transfer/Non-traditional Orientation sessions.
• Coordinate with Aims2UNC and other community college programs to enhance the transition of matriculating students.
• Implement and lead a Transfer Student Advisory board consisting of campus partners from Admissions, Bear Central, Academic Affairs (including the Advisor Network), Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services, and Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
• Conduct Assessment and Evaluation of programming opportunities among transfer students.

Transfer student transition success is focused on supporting the integration of transfer students into the campus community during their first 2-3 semesters as a Bear.
