Position Description:
The University of Northern Iowa's School of Music seeks applicants for an Adjunct Instructor of Voice, starting in August 2023. This position will provide individual instruction to undergraduate students in applied voice. Depending on candidate qualifications and departmental need, this position may also teach classes in vocology, vocal literature, diction, and/or pedagogy.
Education Requirements:
Master's degree in music with evidence of degree completion by August 2023 required.
Required Qualifications:
Required qualifications include demonstrated excellence as a performer with an understanding of and experience with a broad range of performance styles; and at least two years of experience as a studio teacher at the collegiate level.
Desirable Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated skills as a collaborative pianist.

Currently, UNI offers a data analytics major in the College of Business, an interdisciplinary data science minor, a data science emphasis in Physics, and a general education certificate in data science. UNI recently was awarded a $364,000 grant to establish an on-campus high performance computing facility. In addition, support for Big Data is a featured component of UNI's $250 million comprehensive campaign.
