Job Summary The Director of Management and Operations is responsible for: providing advisory support and promoting best practices for facilities operations, maintenance, assessment, capital renewal, and life cycle cost analysis at the campuses of 26 USG institutions; managing the USG’s Major Repair and Rehabilitation capital renewal program; supporting prioritization, scoping, budgeting, project team selections, and design review for capital projects with significant infrastructure components; and managing system energy initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional with a demonstrated focus on leadership for effective, efficient, and resilient higher education campus facilities. Education and professional background would include campus facility management, operations, maintenance, and analytics; assessment, prioritization, and implementation of capital renewal programs and projects; and campus energy management. Experience at a state-level educational system or in a multi-campus institution environment would add significant value. The candidate would be adroit in communication and coordination with diverse stakeholders, and proficient in the graphic, written, and oral communication of relevant information, data, and analyses.
Responsibilities
Provide consultative and advisory services to support USG institutional facilities management, operations, and maintenance, and assessment functions.Manage the USG’s Major Repair and Rehabilitation (MRR) capital renewal program.Develop and foster professional networks and collaboration among system facilities stakeholders to promote best practices and optimize staff resources.Facilitate training and resources for campus facility management, operations, and maintenance.Support effective capital renewal and preventive maintenance practices across the system and promote a life-cycle cost perspective in facilities management, operations, planning, and design.Evaluate, analyze, and report on system facilities operational performance, and recommend procedural refinements for continued improvement.Assist in the review and evaluation of capital projects with significant infrastructure components, including prioritization, scoping, budgeting, project team selections, and design.Direct, manage, and coordinate initiatives for energy management/efficiency and other periodic system-wide facilities-related programs and initiatives.Assist in the development, refinement, and implementation of system facilities operations and management policies, procedures, and guidelines.Interact with relevant government agencies and industry organizations concerning facilities management, operations, and maintenance issues.Use a variety of software applications to manage and analyze data; synthesize results and prepare reports, recommendations, and presentations.Related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering, facilities management, or other appropriate discipline.Five years of related facilities operations or program management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Dean of Student Success, the Director of First Year and Second Year Experience will provide vision, strategic direction, and accountability for developing, maintaining, overseeing, and assessing programs and services that support academic transition and success for first-year and second-year students. Such programs and services are expected to include the First Year Seminar GGC 1000, First-Year Learning Communities, Sophomore support programs, First Generation student services, Summer enrichment programs, and more. The Director will work collaboratively across areas/departments on campus and beyond to ensure that new first-year students are provided a quality, comprehensive first year experience and that second-year students are provided with continuing support that promotes student learning, student persistence, and academic success.

Responsibilities
• Oversight of programs and staff, as well as assessment and reporting related to the strategic goals of Student Success. The Director of First Year and Second Year Experience position is designed to positively impact students¿ success through these functions.
• Developing programs and learning opportunities that help students connect with campus resources
• Establish relationships with faculty, staff, and peers that are critically important to student belonging and retention, develop key study skills, and deepen understanding of their direction as college students.
• Oversee, guide, and assess designated first-year support programs such as the First Year Seminar, first-year learning communities, and Summer enrichment programs.
• Bring together efforts across campus in a way that helps close achievement gaps and fosters successful outcomes for all first-year and second-year students; efforts will include regular communication and collaboration with Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, and other campus partners.
• Propose and keep track of the budget for designated programs in Student Success.
• Conduct strategic data collection and assessment to ensure the continuous improvement of the first-year and second-year programs overseen.
• Lead outreach and recruitment for first-year and second-year Student Success programs, to include communication and collaboration with Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, and other campus partners; represent Student Success on college-wide committees, in meetings, and in the broader community.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Education, Counseling, Student Success, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• 3+ years of supervisory experience, including any combination of student success programs, departments, personnel, or related.
• Will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

Preferred Qualifications
• Doctoral Degree preferably in Education, Counseling, Student Success, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years experience working with college students in a higher education setting, such as advising, counseling, academic instruction, or program coordination is also required. The successful candidate must demonstrate a track record of commitment to student success with strong interpersonal and technology skills.

Georgia Gwinnett College’s Digital Communications team seeks an experienced front end web developer to expand the college’s reach locally and nationally.

This position will report to the director of Digital Communications and utilize web development skills to create, develop and improve the GGC public website, campus portal and electronic communications to advance the college’s brand and mission.

The internship program offers placements each semester supporting several divisions in the system office, including executive leadership, external affairs, government relations... communications and marketing, information technology and security, and internal audit and accounting.

Responsibilities

External Affairs and Government Relations interns will be based in Atlanta, Georgia, and are responsible for activities such as research, data compilation, attending meetings, monitoring legislative hearings, bill tracking, general administrative duties and assisting in the planning of special events. Interns will be based in the Chancellor’s office and support multiple divisions within the executive leadership team.

Communications and Marketing interns will be based in Atlanta, Georgia, and are responsible for assisting with news and media tracking, drafting correspondence, statements, and memos, photo editing, basic graphic design, social media tracking and analytics, and general administrative duties.

Information Technology Services (ITS) interns will be based in Athens, Georgia, and are responsible for working with computing infrastructure, Database Administration, ERP Application, Security, and PC support team members in resolving issues and assisting with projects such as researching customer software issues and developing, maintaining, or modifying new or existing scripts, API integrations, or specialized utility programs. Direct and oversee adjudication and due process for student conduct matters, academic integrity and department functions including staff supervision, budget management, and strategic planning. 8. Provide administrative oversight for student conduct database including generating reports and interfacing with other related case management modules
9. Perform on-going review and revision of key conduct policies and protocols
10. Support broader functions of the Office of the Dean of Students including on-call assistance as needed and collaboratively assisting other assistant deans with case review, evaluation, assessment, and response as directed by the Dean of Students

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Masters' degree from an accredited institution of higher education in appropriate area of study

Required Experience
Five (5) years of related full-time work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
PhD, EdD, or JD in appropriate area and direct experience with creation of student code of conduct policy/procedure and high-level case adjudication for student affairs units within a public institution of higher educationExperience with student conduct database administration
Experience with creative and innovative educational and developmental programming

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e.,Microsoft Office suite)
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
