Overview

The Paraprofessional Programs Program Coordinator III oversees the procedural matters related to three statewide training programs. The coordinator plans and coordinates the day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of the Certified Peer Support, Family Peer Support, and Community Health Workers certification trainings. The Paraprofessional Program Coordinator will support curriculum updates, new grant writing for programmatic funding, program promotion, and program oversight and evaluation.

Reporting and Supervisory Responsibilities

The Paraprofessional Programs Program Coordinator III may report the Salt Lake County health extension faculty member. The program coordinator supervises, trains, and direct the full-time benefited employees, hourly employees, graduate students, and/or volunteers assigned to support paraprofessional training programs.

Responsibilities
• Designs and coordinates the day-to-day aspects of the training programs and monitors the progress and status of program outcomes.
• Serves as the principal liaison between students, faculty, staff, other departments, and/or external constituencies on day-to-day project, operational, and/or administrative issues.
• Facilitates seminars, meetings, and special projects.
• Monitors and administers program revenues and expenses; may develop or participate in the development of funding proposals for the program.
• Writes, edits, and coordinates development of course offerings, promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as appropriate to the program.
• Ensures completion of clerical and administrative support tasks, including creation, typing, and editing of program correspondence, purchasing documents, reports, program handbooks, and other publications.
• Writes and/or assists with writing grants and proposals as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the programs; may participate in other fundraising activities.
• May maintain and create content for programs website.
• Provides updates and information to program stakeholders.
• Collects and analyzes data; prepares scheduled and special reports; maintains program records and statistical information to meet state and federal requirements.
• May maintain and create content for program website.
• May present on topics related to programs in person or via webinar.
• Analyzes problems and applies corrective action as needed.
• Ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Monitors and administers program revenues and expenses; may develop or participate in the development of funding proposals for the program.

• May advise and advocate for students participating in the programs.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus a minimum of two years of relevant work experience; or a Master's degree in a related field; or equivalent education plus experience is required.

Overview

Utah State University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a recruiter and outreach specialist in our Kaysville area. This dynamic individual will engage the community and be a presence in the local area as a representative of USU Kaysville. They will have a strong recruiting role to help build programs. This will include meeting with local organizations, businesses, and educational institutions, as well as attending promotional events. They will oversee activities on our campus related to educational opportunities and help out with daily operations of our campus. Responsibilities

Primary Duties - Recruiting, Community Interaction, Events oversight, back up for front desk
• Serve as the Recruiter for the USU Kaysville Campus, including managing recruitment records and communications, attending fairs and events that promote USU Kaysville, building relationships with community entities, scheduling and facilitating tours, and assisting students as they proceed through the admissions process.
• Utilizes social media to promote efforts across all areas of responsibility.
• Sits on the marketing committee to discuss options and offer suggestions in promoting USU Kaysville and its services.
• Content manager for USU Kaysville social media pages.
• Assist in performing office duties, including answering phones, directing calls to appropriate parties, data entry, filing, appointment scheduling, and other general duties as assigned.
• Assists with recruitment efforts, such as calling campaigns, business visits, and tabling.
• Composes various standard documents, correspondence and reports.
• Oversees and ensures currency of website content.
• May provide non-business-related support for departmental programs and projects.
• Responsible for engaging and integrating into community organizations, groups, and entities by being present at meetings and happenings.
• Create strong partnerships with other educational institutions, shared entities on site, governmental entities, and local organizations.
• Work in conjunction with advancement, alumni, and development groups in regard to fund raising, scholarships, and relationship building.
• Participate in fund raising and scholarship generation events and activities.
• Manage the CRM for the Kaysville area.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an associate degree with an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Effective presentation and speaking skills especially with the ability to present a positive message to groups and one on one

Overview

Under general direction and guidance, the Certified Flight Instructor provides leadership and direction for flight students in Price, Utah. Incumbent serves as a mentor to flight instructors and students alike; assists to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Training Course Outline, and USU operational procedures in the training of students; maintains continuous education, follows all operating procedures, and meticulously completes assignments. • Supervises flight training activities and flight students
• Monitors and evaluates flight performance
• Advises the lead flight instructors

• Assists in conducting initial and annual recurrent standardization of flight instructors
• Assists in the development and maintenance of standardized teaching techniques and procedures
• Participates in recruitment, interviews, and recommendations of prospective flight instructors

• Monitors progress of students and student training records
• Maintains safety manual and assists in teaching classes on campus, at airports, or as directed

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Hold Airplane Single/Multi Engine Commercial Certificates with at least a second-class medical endorsement
• Current CFI Certificate for Airplane and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument rating (CFII)
• Meet PIC recent flight experience requirements of FAR Part 61.57
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work with diverse audiences
