Position Summary

This full-time position provides programmatic and high-level administrative support to the Vice Chancellor & Assistant Vice Chancellor of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) and the units/offices under their supervision (Access Center, Campus Climate, Office of Multicultural Student Services, Student Support Services, Pride Center and Upward Bound). Duties and responsibilities include managing the office receptionist duties, functioning as a liaison between the office and faculty, staff, students and community, handling confidential information, record and file maintenance, making travel and hotel arrangements for visitors, interview candidates and staff, scheduling meetings for the Vice Chancellor and Assistant Vice Chancellor, coordinating special events for the division and conducting special projects as requested.

An important aspect of the position will require gaining an understanding of the structure,

staff, and responsibilities of the 6 units within the division and their programming. These

include the Access Center, Center for Transformative Justice, Office of Multicultural Student Services, Student Support Services, and Pride Center.

Normal working hours for this position are from 7:45 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of broad and increasingly responsible administrative experience.

The Physical Therapy Program at the University of Wisconsin – La
Crosse invites qualified persons to apply for the full-time,
12-month, tenure track assistant or associate professor position

A new or established educator in the areas of clinical anatomy or
neuroanatomy with teaching experience and a scholarly agenda to
complement the existing faculty is desired. The DPT program and
other programs within the Department of Health Professions support
a variety of scholarly and clinical research opportunities (Ex;
LIMS – La Crosse Institute of Movement Science and the UW-L – Mayo
Research Collaborative).

The Physical Therapy Program is part of the Department of Health
Professions which includes Medical Dosimetry, Nuclear Medicine
Technology, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, Radiography,
Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and Radiation Therapy. Our program
consists of 10 dynamic core faculty and a strong complement of
adjunct faculty. We are committed to mentoring new faculty in
teaching and scholarship. The department is located in the College
of Science and Health.

The Physical Therapy Program is housed in the Health Science Center
( HSC ), recognized for its spacious, well-appointed teaching labs,
classrooms, and established biomechanics, human performance, and
anatomy laboratories. Our physical therapy program has strong
alliances with national, regional, and local medical centers and
practices. The program is proud to support the La Crosse Institute
of Movement Science ( LIMS ), the Gundersen Sports Medicine
Residency Program, and the Mayo Research Collaborative.

Position Summary

Under general supervision of department chair, a person in this
position is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate
courses. In addition to preparing for and holding classes
[face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online], teaching involves
maintaining currency in the content area related to the teaching
assignment, evaluating students’ work, assessing student outcomes,
maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours. In
addition, workload may involve advising students and/or providing
other service to the department. Other duties may be assigned by
the chair or dean.

The Department of Educational Studies at the University of
Wisconsin–La Crosse seeks qualified candidates for short term
instructional positions to teach a variety of courses and supervise
clinical and student teaching experiences. Courses to be taught
could be in one of the following: special education;
literacy/reading; early childhood; foundations; pedagogy;
technology; or content areas.

This position is affiliated with the School of Education,
Professional, and Continuing Education ( EPC ) and the dean of the
EPC will provide feedback regarding hiring and personnel reviews to
the department.

School of Education affiliated faculty are expected to be engaged

The MSED Learning Community degree is an off-campus program based
on a learning-in-community, constructivist philosophy designed for
certified teachers as well as other educational professionals. The
program does not grant teacher certification/licensure. The MSED :
Educational Leadership Emphasis provides a master’s degree and
eligibility for principal licensure. The MSED : Educational
Leadership/Director of Instruction Emphasis provides a master’s
degree and eligibility for principal and director of instruction
licensure. The Educational Leadership Certificate program is for
master’s level teachers, school counselors, school psychologists,

Position Summary

A graduate faculty facilitator, Associate Lecturer, is responsible
for the instructional development adapted from instructional
materials in the provided syllabus, delivery and assessment of one
of the IPSE academic programs, including the Director of
Instruction programs, Educational Leadership programs, Learning
Community programs, Reading programs, and the Professional Learning
Community ( PLC ) Certificate program. For all of our cohorts,
blended, face-to-face, and online, a facilitator will deliver the
curriculum in a spiraled and integrated fashion. Responsibilities
also include: commitment to the program’s professional development
activities (the September Retreat, the February Retreat, and the
Fall for Education Conference), student advising, and use of the
UWL online communication tool known as Canvas. In addition,
facilitators are expected to support and uphold the Institute for
Professional Studies in Education mission, vision, and values, as
well as guidelines outlined in the Facilitator Handbook.

70% Instructional Leadership and Development and Student

• Make all necessary arrangements for instruction with
face-to-face, blended, or online delivery with a co-facilitator

support to the Director of Graduate Studies asking for your
appropriate graduate faculty membership. Graduate faculty
membership is valid for 3 – 5 years (depending on the type of
membership) at which point you will need to reapply if continuing

Physical demands: Some cohorts may require walking, hiking,
backpacking.

Working conditions and environment: For face-to-face and blended
cohorts, travel may be necessary.

• ATTENDANCE

Facilitator Attendance

Graduate Faculty Facilitators are expected to attend 100% of cohort
activities and professional development opportunities. Instructors
facilitating online programs are expected to manage their online
cohorts on a 3-4 week cycle. In the event that you are unable to
fulfill any part of this commitment, you will need to let the IPSE
Director know.

• FACILITATOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES

Facilitator professional development activities are a required part
of your position and attendance is required.

There are two Graduate Faculty Facilitator professional development
weekends each year. The February Retreat is the first weekend in
February and the September Retreat is the first weekend in
September.

In addition, there is the Annual Fall for Education

There may also be facilitator developments throughout the

Position Summary

The Associate Director of University Centers is a full-time
professional staff position which is part of the Office of
University Centers within the Division of Student Affairs at the
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse ( UWL ). In conjunction with the
Director of University Centers, the Associate Director is
responsible for the daily business and financial management of the
University Centers department, assists with the oversight of the
daily operations of the Student Union & Whitney Center, serves
as the primary administrator for the University Dining Program and
the Dining Plan/ID Card program. The Associate Director will serve
as a member of the University Centers central leadership team and
will provide guidance on the long-term strategic plans for the
areas of oversight.

Please find below the elements of the job description for which
this position will be responsible:

Responsible for the business and finance operations of
University Centers.
• Provide leadership, direction, and supervision of the general
business functions of University Centers, including staff and
office oversight of accounting/cash management, accounts payable
and receivable, technology, and equipment.
• Oversee the hiring, training, professional development,
evaluation, and daily operational oversight of professional and
student staff members in the areas of oversight.
• Provide oversight of the Union Information Center/Event Tickets
and Eagle ID/Dining Plan Office.
• Assist with the oversight of day-to-day operations of the
Student Union and Whitney Dining Center.
• Develop and uphold policies that guide the overall business
management and operations of University Centers.
• Serve as department liaison with campus partners including (but
not limited to): Business Services, University Budget, Information
Technology, Cashier’s Office, Financial Aid, Facilities Management,
Planning and Construction, Residence Life, and Recreational
Sports.

Responsible for the oversight of budget development and
contractual management of University Centers
• In collaboration with the Director, assist in the development
and administration of outside vendor contracts including dining
services. This includes working with UW System Procurement from the
beginning of the RFB / RFP process through the contract
implementation and execution.
• Oversee the development of the University Centers annual budget
and 10-year project budget plan, including University Centers
Segregated Student Fees, University Dining, and revenue-generating
budgets.
• Determine the annual pricing for student dining plans in
collaboration with UW System and University Administration.
• Advise University Administration on any additional proposed
expenses and the impact they will have on current and future annual
budgets.
• Work closely with the University Budget Office to meet
deadlines and comply with university policies.

Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the University
Dining Program.
• Serves as a primary liaison with the contracted dining services
provider.
• Supervise and coordinate the marketing, sale, sign-up and
opening of meal plans, Dining Dollars and Campus Cash to student
and the university community.
• Supervision of the contract financial aspects of the program
including student billing, submission and payment of weekly board
bill, Dining Dollars verifications, and alcohol
reconciliation.
• Ensure that quality standards are being met, in accordance with
the contract, in all residential, retail, and catering
operations.
• Development of policy regarding the campus dining program.
• Field and respond to all customer inquiries related to the
University Dining Program.
• Conduct assessment of customer service through surveys, focus
groups, and tabletop discussions. Develop plans to address customer
feedback and implement necessary changes to the program.
• Supervise and maintain University facilities and equipment used
by the food contractor.
• Prepare specifications and requisitions for equipment.
• Supervise the conference and summer camp meal plan/Early
Arrival/Dining Dollars program.
• Maintain a liaison relationship with the WIAA State Track
meet.

Coordinate the University ID/card access program.
• Develop procedures for taking student, faculty, staff and
specialty ID cards.
• Develop policies and procedures for replacing lost ID
cards.
• Maintain inventory on ID equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate with campus entities card access privileges.

Serve as a member of the University Centers leadership team.
• In collaboration with other University Centers leadership team
members, create and maintain an inclusive environment free of bias
while leading and communicating in ways that champion equity,
diversity and inclusivity and meet the needs of an active and
diverse student body and campus community.
• Establish a positive collaborative working relationship with
university departments, students, auxiliary partners, and community
agencies.
• Assist with the coordination of training and development for
student, graduate assistant, and full-time staff members.
• Assist in the establishment of the unit’s direction and
policies with specific emphasis on the areas of engagement,
leadership development, and student activities.
• Contribute to the development of the annual report, development
of strategic goals, and the assessment of established goals.
• Ensure the unit’s philosophy and direction permeates the
programs and services of the unit.

• Serves as advisor to the Segregated University Fee Allocation
Committee ( SUFAC ).
• Attend University functions of general importance to the

Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business
Administration, or related field from a regionally accredited
institution is required.
• Five (5) or more years of full-time experience working with
business/financial processes (including accounts payable and
accounts receivable), contracts, and/or daily operations of a
large/complex organization/department.
• Five (5) or more years of experience supervising full-time
professional, graduate assistant, and/or student staff
members.
• Experience working with budget analysis, development,
implementation, and reporting.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while exhibiting good
judgement and poise in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills,
strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple
priorities, and the willingness to work and communicate in a highly

Position Summary

Under general supervision of the Law Enforcement Dispatch
Supervisor, this position works in a critical office on campus that
serves as a hub of all alarms and notification systems that are
crucial to the safety of the campus community. This position works
independently to provide communications via two way radios,
telephones and computer for the university police, dispatch and
telephone operations. It is a crucial position for coordinating
internal as well as external communications for two departments and
for the campus. This position works alone and is subject to
occasional supervisory checks.

This position must be able to prioritize, multi task and remain
calm in outwardly stressful incidents. This position must maintain
an excellent understanding of Department/University policies and
procedures. It is accountable for accurate police reports, dispatch
logs and police records which are always sensitive and highly
confidential in nature. This position plays a key role in the
maintenance, creation and dissemination of legally required crime
and activity statistics. The position will apply and maintain
accurate records of Department grants.

The normal work schedule for this position will be a 4on/3off
relief schedule. Sunday=10pm-8am, Monday=10pm-8am, Tuesday=off,
Wednesday=off, Thursday = off, Friday=5pm-3am, Saturday=5pm-3am.
The schedule may vary based on changing needs of the
department.

Under general supervision of department chair, a person in this

assignment, evaluating students’ work, assessing student outcomes,
maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours. In

Department of Theatre Arts is seeking generalist, part-time (by
semester) instructional academic staff position. The successful
candidate would hold a degree in theatre and/or music (Ph.D./ MFA,
MA. MM) depending on the course and be able to teach courses within
the Department of Theatre Arts as needed. This is a part-time, by
the course position. Instructional academic staff duties include
preparing and delivering undergraduate theatre curriculum,
preparing course materials, evaluating student work, facilitate
classroom discussions, maintain regular office hours and other
duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess a degree in theatre and/or music (Ph.D/
MFA, MA, MM) [except in rare circumstances where post-baccalaureate
certification or licensure or a baccalaureate plus experience can
be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching

Description of College/Department/Program/Division/Unit

The College of Business Administration is one of three colleges at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The CBA consists of six academic departments and one non-academic department which is the Small Business Development Center.

Six of the college's seven academic programs are housed in an academic department (Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Management, and Marketing) except for the International Business program which is managed by the CBA International Business Advisory Committee (IBAC). There are eight majors and seven minors in the undergraduate curriculum. The college also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The CBA has an outstanding reputation for the high quality of its faculty, programs, staff, and most importantly its students. The CBA is fully accredited by AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) - the premier national and international accreditation authority. The college maintains active collaborations within the region and community and with numerous educational institutions in Europe, Asia, and elsewhere.

The College of Business Administration maintains an active Assurance of Learning Program to ensure both the undergraduate and graduate programs are assessed and evaluated on a regular basis to foster successful student learning. The planning and assessment efforts are guided by a task force of knowledgeable and enthusiastic faculty and instructional academic staff. Assurance of Learning supports the AACSB accreditation principles of accountability and continuous improvement.

Position Summary

Under general supervision of department chair, a person in this position is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses. In addition to preparing for and holding classes [face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online], teaching involves maintaining currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment, evaluating students' work, assessing student outcomes, maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours. In addition, workload may involve advising students and/or providing other service to the department. Other duties may be assigned by the chair or dean.

Required Qualifications

1. J.D. from an ABA accredited college of law, and law license Degree [except in rare circumstances where post-baccalaureate certification or licensure or a baccalaureate plus experience can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position].
2. Strives for teaching excellence.

All persons hired for Academic Instruction will be required to submit all of their official copies of their transcripts to Human Resources upon hire.
